An amazing experience staying at Sheraton Alqahira. Our room Nile view was spectacular! The staff and services provided were exceptional and we loved the Club Lounge very much. We would recommend it to all our friends and will definitely comeback soon!

The absolute win at this hotel wascthe staff. They were phenomenal. Always attentive, very friendly, always enquiring without being intrusive. They upgraded our room, opened the pool.so that our family could swim, and were just generally fantastic. Plus the club floor is great. You can see the pyramids in the distance

The location was great, thankful for the upgraded room. However, the ant infestation in the cabana was the worst. Lost a lot of our sweets that we thought were properly sealed, but the ants proved that wrong. On the last day, checking out was extremely difficult after requesting our luggage be picked up, making 3 calls, and waiting 30 minutes for someone to get our luggage. I started taking luggage down to the taxi area and informed the concierge we called 3 times. They then made it a point to go get the luggage from the cabana. The consistency of the hotel staff is lacking, and the cleanliness of the rooms was an issue for me. No luxury hotel should have a rodent infestation.

A little disappointing, we stayed here for 5 nights total, 2 before a Nile cruise and 3 after, and our experience was mixed. The reception/front desk was rather rude to us both times we checked in, being very blunt in his answers. The second time we checked in our room had not been properly cleaned, someone had used the toilet, not flushed and left urine sprinkles on the seat, the bathroom also flooded when we showered. They also had a really hard time understanding us, so much so that I gave up on ordering room service because they just weren't understanding my English (I'm married to an American, that is a native speaker, and I like to think that my English is near her level as I do use it to make my living as an interpreter). However, the restaurants in the hotel complex were very good and reasonably priced, the staff there were much better at understanding us (most of the time) and the food was good! The hotel is well located, just a short Uber dive away from the museum and other attractions, we were also able to walk around a bit and weren't overly accosted as is usual when leaving hotels. Plus, the view to the Nile from the room with the silhouette of the pyramids in the background does smooth things over a bit.
