From December 8th to December 9th, we had booked an apartment at Keyserlei 43. Reservation number: 256387 On Friday, December 8th, four friends and I got into the car to celebrate the weekend in Antwerp. After a 2-hour drive, we arrived in Antwerp, but unfortunately, there was traffic. Quickly parked the car and headed to the apartment. Upon arrival, we easily passed through the first door. Taking the elevator to the 3rd floor, we reached the front door of our apartment. On the door handle, there was a code lock. Entered the code , but it didn't work. After a few unsuccessful attempts, we tried to contact Smartflats. Calling was futile, but fortunately, we managed to get in touch via WhatsApp. After some back and forth, we had to try the code again, and it still didn't work. we received a new code, which turned out to be the same code. Once again, it didn't work. We sent another message via WhatsApp. 30 minutes later, we received another code, but it also didn't work. After about 2 hours, we got a message stating that we were free to cancel. There we were, in the middle of Antwerp with our weekend bags. Disappointed, but we didn't let it ruin our weekend. Quickly booked somewhere else. We understand that mistakes can happen, but the service towards us was very poor and of the lowest level. Now, 1.5 months later, we still haven't received our money back, and we feel that nothing is being done about it. I hope that through this channel, we can get our money refunded. I am saving the screenshots of the poor communication from your end, but if the money is not refunded within one week, I will still share them so that you can see it with your own eyes

Great location near the Central Station, only 3 minutes away by foot. Cool and very modern furnished apartment. It was a great stay.

We had the 6 person flat (second floor) in the Breydelstraat 30. It was a really big and nice flat. Big windows in all rooms so it was very bright. The flat had a big kitchen/ living area (incl. a sleeping couch for 2 people), 2 sleeping rooms with double beds and 2 bath rooms. Unfortunately it only had 1 tiny toilet. The flat included everything what you need, but a toaster and a broom or a vacuum cleaner would have been nice. What really is not OK are the beds. All beds had more than 3 missing planks, so that the mattress got into those holes. This is really a NoGo and breaks your back!! The service was comletely by mail and SMS. It went really good and uncomplicated. We got all information in time and had no issues. The flat itself was cleaned just before we got there but the cleaning level was only on medium level. On first look it seemed OK, on second view it could have been better. The smell in the toilett was disgusting. The entrance area of the house, elevator, etc. was just super dirty and it smelled worse than the toillet in the flat itself. The flat itself and the service is nice. Beds need to be repaired and the cleaing team needs to do a better job. I think esspecially the open areas need full cleaning to get the smell out.

Honestly disgusting! Nothing was clean! • The sheets did not smell clean. • There was a thick layer of dust everywhere - for asthma patients it is a nightmare . • Half of the lamps did not work (customer support on the phone promised to send someone to fix it - never happened). • Microwave was broken. • Staff left dirty laundry in our apartment . • Besides all this it is also a health hazard - the shower is set to 38 degrees Celsius and can not be put higher, which is a risk for legionnaires. • The floor everywhere was sticky, and doesn’t seem like was cleaned in a very long time. • Shower was dirty. • All the walls were full of black stains and scratches. • The bed was broken. • The chairs were dirty and broken. • The water kettle was broken as well. The moment you turn it on, the lights in half of apartment switch off. • The front door look was poorly fixed (previously). The door isn’t closing properly. That doesn’t give us a safe feeling. I first contacted the property to see how we can solve all this. But never heard back from them. That’s why only now, I’m writing this review to prevent other people to get caught in this unsafe and dirty nightmare.
