It's one of the few hotels in the area where you can get a 2 room suite and the rooms are decent size. Location is great. We cut our trip short because of the constant and heavy marijuana smell inside and outside of our room. The first room we were assigned had such a strong odor that we asked for another room in a different building. At first that one was OK, but the marijuana smell was still strong outside. Eventually, we could smell it inside too and it was very strong within our room even though we didn't open any windows. Our hair and clothes constantly reeked of it during our entire trip. Management could have cared less and said that marijuana is legal for medical use, which it isn't in Georgia. It's a shame that management does nothing about this and seems to think it's OK. We visit the area at least twice a year for a week at a time to see family and would like to continue to stay at this hotel. We will have to look for another option next time. While most of the people that worked there were not helpful or caring, there was one employee that was super kind when we checked out early and ensured that we would be refunded for the last night we didn't stay.

Sonesta ES suites earns 5 stars because of the amazing service and attention to customers from Toinette. I am a regular at this hotel and she always goes out of her way to accommodate customers. She is the glue that holds this place together and needs to be the General Manager. She is an amazing person, and employee that knows what she is doing. Her work ethic and attitude are hard to find these days. Sonesta this she needs to promoted. She is Simply to qualified to be in her current role.

The rooms are decent, location is good, I like the breakfast spread given. But the staff are just RUDE and incompetent !!! They were behaving as though guests owe them a favor. I hope management does something about this sooner. Hotel Manager is a gem of a person, friendly, polite. She helped me to get the issues sorted out. Revising my rating to 4 stars.

I had got two sonesta rooms one in midtown and one at this one. We had a great time while we were in atl but this hotel took my deposit because somehow they say they smelt weed in my room but that wasn't true because we didn't smoke anything in that room we was only there for 3 hours from 7ish am to 10ish am and all we did was sleep. We woke up and checked out. They used that because that's something I can't prove and being 3 hours away is not worth disputing it. It's a good place to stay but you can't let them rip you off and the bathroom sink was stopped up so my wife and i had to struggle just to wash our face and brush our teeth
