Shockingly poor treatment by reception staff member who decided to enter our room, open our safe, empty out the contents, remove them from our room and present them to us at reception! All without any authorisation and the most bizarre behaviour. When we dared to question what she was doing she started screaming at us in reception, shocking a good number of other guests and families and then threw a massive tantrum, threw her chair into the desk and stormed off declaring she was going home! She had actually done something criminal in accessing our safe and removing our items and I'm annoyed we didn't press charges against her and the hotel - which was our legal right. She deserved to be made legally accountable for her criminal actions. Management didn't give a damn about any of it and conveniently disappeared for the rest of our stay. To top it off, the same angry rude staff member tried to overcharge us on checkout and couldn't fathom the most simple calculations - like what day it was! She never apologised for her disgraceful behaviour. She is a terrible employee and has a shocking temper. Absolute waste of money staying at this hotel, completely untrustworthy and unapologetic. Never stay here.

Positive points: - The bed was comfortable - The check-in and checkout was done quickly - There was free parking Points to be improved: - The rooms were very hot (not even a fan in the room) and it was difficult to sleep in summer weather. - The room that was given to us was overcrowded with objects, which reduced the overall space in the room. - The bathroom area was full of mold and not clean - We were provided a half empty soap dispenser that barely covered our needs. - The shower pressure is reduced under the excuse of wanting to be ecologically friendly but in the end it requires 2-3 times longer to take a shower... so not eco friendly nor a good customer experience.

Our welcome at the hotel from Shirin and her efficiency, despite being on her own at reception & under pressure from lots of guests, was excellent. Unfortunately, her colleagues were not of the same quality and clearly unprepared to deal with questions regarding the area or in our case booking golf in the area. The restaurant food was generally very good but again let down by the attentiveness of the service. When we compared the quality of service with the nearby competition, this encouraged us to eat elsewhere. Most likely these service issues can be partially explained by the difficulty in recruiting quality staff post-covid, but it's definitely an issue the Hotel should address. Also, the car parking is an issue. Above ground quickly gets full and whilst there is a garage, entrance and exit to it is extremely tight for any wide (eg SUV-like) vehicle. Also whilst we were there someone actually parked their car almost in front of the entrance/exit to the garage making it unusable ! There is overflow parking available about 5-10 minutes walk away past the old Patscherkofel lift. We used it for a night & it is safe to do so. The hotel plans a new garage with 60 places & EV charging in 2024/25 - but for now parking is definitely a restriction. The rooms are pretty good with lots of storage space & a comfortable bed. The location is excellent - 6km from Innsbruck and very close to the J bus that runs from the Patscherkofel lift to the Nordkette lift through the City of Innsbruck. If the service and parking were better, I'd highly recommend this hotel - but for singles or couples do be aware this is very much a family hotel.
