Spreeapartment JULIA

We booked the houseboat Julia for 2 nights. Unfortunately the visit did not live up to our expectations. Regardless of the feeling of being under constant observation, the location itself was not as private as you can see in the wide-angle pictures in the advertisement. Of course, we were aware that there is a certain amount of activity in such a facility, but boats were constantly docking to the right of the houseboat, whose passengers could look directly into the entire right-hand window front. You had to decide whether you wanted to enjoy a beautiful view (as advertised) with a few spectators, or whether you would rather close the curtains so that you could no longer see the panorama at all. The Spreeboot employees also regularly drove past the terrace and took a look into the house, even with the curtains half closed. Residents/investors called the administration and suspected that we were planning an event or something else. We got a call and were initially warned that we shouldn't be too loud (in addition to the loud music from the houseboats next door on the property). We find this massive invasion of privacy unacceptable. In fact, we didn't sleep in the apartment at all, but went back to our apartment in Berlin. To top it all off, there was an unreasonable number of spiders living in the Spree apartment, despite the windows always being closed. In our opinion, garden spiders are not harmless and at night we counted around 30 inside the apartment. There were cobwebs everywhere and it seemed like people were cleaning rather superficially before guests came. There was no vacuum cleaner, the windows were dirty on the outside and the dishes had coffee stains. Even the ventilation system in the bathroom was defective, whereupon the administration was contacted but they simply received no answer or suggested solution. Even the coffee machine didn't work, although everyone tried everything to get it to work. It is also mandatory for the company to point out nudity or nudism. A lot of naked people could be seen from the balcony opposite. On the last night (during the week) there was a very loud and wild party at the harbor kitchen, which seemed to have been planned for a long time, as you could see the complex setup. You would have liked to know about that. That was another reason not to spend the last night in the apartment and perhaps ignore the spiders. We checked out early. Communication in general was tense and unprofessional. All in all, the visit to the apartment was a disaster that we will never consider again. It just cost us more time and energy than we wanted to fill up there.
