I stayed in this hotel on Dec. 16 thru Dec. 18. This room has fleas and by the time I killed 5 or 6 they never went away. Must be coming from the venting in each bathroom which are connected throughout the hotel. Complaining about this with a 1/2 day to go would be unless because I believe the fleas are all over the hotel and I didn't want to switch rooms. Also, the bathroom sink does not drain very well.

Booked early Thanksgiving weekend plans directly with the hotel and tried to cancel 1 month before arrival and was told my reservation couldn’t be cancelled because I paid in advance and the hotel was receiving a lot of cancellations. Upon arrival was placed in a handicap room, which was not the room I reserved and was told the hotel was sold out and the this was the only room available. Awkward room and situation, especially when I went to the front desk to inquire about the room and during conversation with front desk person was told to wait while she answered the phone. Would appreciate if the room I had to take and couldn’t cancel was the room I had reserved.

I am a fan of this hotel. The entrance is not much to brag about but all else was good. Shopping and restaurants up and down both sides of the street and a train station behind the hotel if you need to explore more of the Pittsburgh area. On an earlier visit, I took the train to downtown Pittsburgh and attended a Penguins hockey game. This property is somewhat separated from the hustle and bustle of the big city but with the train, there is no limit to what you have access to from this property.

Rooms are modern and upgraded but no house keeping came the entire time I was there. Which is a shame because they have a small placard that says to leave your towels in a pile if you would like fresh towels, which I did so they became gross and mildewy, and no one ever came to replace them. Also the third floor common area/hallway smells weird like musty old tunafish… parking garage was a tight fit.

Bad food during breakfast. Old bread with fungus. Milk refrigerator not working. Oatmeal extremely watery. Cold sausages. Ex-employees hanging around. No drinking water bottles in the hotel. Impolite staff. Hotel guests having huge dogs who are sniffing other hotel guests. Overall its a terrible hotel. I had to order drinking water from UberEats at midnight because there was no water in the hotel. As far as the view goes, I had a cemetery view. What else one can ask for!
