Station Firenze

This hotel experience was one of the best we’ve had while traveling throughout Italy. The owners were very welcoming and gave great recommendations of things to do in Florence including an amazing wine tour day trip to the Chianti region, and they were very accommodating and easy and nice to communicate with. Our room had an air conditioning unit, a fan, and a balcony to cool us down after a hot day of walking around in Florence in the heat of August. We had a shared bathroom with 2-3 other rooms which was never an issue and everything was very clean and sanitized. The hotel was in a great location, 5 minutes walking from the Santa Maria Novella train station, and only a 10-15 minute walk to the Duomo and other major sites. Would highly recommend and would love to come back here whenever we come to Florence next!

Was in Florence for a work trip but Station Firenze made my week-long stay much more than that. Located close to the train station, it has quick access to most tram and bus lines while it is only minutes’ walk away from the city center where all the hustle and bustle is: cute restaurants, bars, and lunchrooms/coffee shops (there’s also a real nice “bar gelateria” right downstairs where you can have your morning cappuccino and croissant crème). Family-run, the room was spacious and the whole apartment decorated with great taste; you really feel you’ve landed in a typical Italian place living “la dolce vita.” The facilities, like bathroom and kitchen were all up to great standard and thoroughly cleaned daily. The fast WiFi allows you to stream your favorite series. Last but certainly not least, coming from Holland the guest house’s host, Sonny, made me feel right at home from his most generous reception to all the small things he helped me with figuring out life in Italy. He helped me navigate the city, and stayed late and in the early morning to secure the suitcase that got missing at the airport. Sonny has traveled the world and is a kind-hearted, hospitable, open, en very generous person. So no matter where you’re from, Sonny will make sure you’ll have the best time in Florence and Station Firenze.
