We arrived earlier then expected and Sama, the hotel supervisor, organized the welcome drink whereas the rooms were finished for us. The overall hospitality is outstanding and we had always the impression that a team is working together to make this accommodation so unique. Beside the excellent service we loved the room, the view from the terrace during the wonderful breakfast or our dinner with local food (international is also available) and the location itself, as it’s very close to the main attraction of Kandy. I can absolutely recommend the Stone House in Kandy with Sama and his team.

Lovely hotel,we got some lovely rooms near the swimming pool. Nice food too¹ The staff were very accomodating,special mention yo Mr Amaal,front reception manager,he went out of his way to make things comfortable for our gang.

Calm and serene environment, beautiful views of Kandy with incredible hospitality! Amazing food! Beautifully presented tasty food with great servers. We had an awesome lunch. Perfect for family gatherings or friends’ hangouts. They have 5 rooms available to stay. Big lawn and a tree hugging pool with space to lie down.

We spent our honeymoon at Stone House because the original plans got cancelled last minute and it was the best thing that happened and we were lucky enough to discover this place! Stone House is truly a hidden gem in Kandy, once you enter, you feel completely drifted away to a quite, tranquil haven. The architecture is on point, attention to detail at its best! Not just the interior but the garden, how trees and plants are positioned, the color coordination, all of it. The staff was the best I've ever come across in Sri Lanka, better than in any star class hotel. Whoever that trained these people have just done it right. They knew how to respect our privacy while being warm and courteous at the same time, they made sure we got the best possible treatment, and the best thing is they had no clue we were honeymooning and we just told them when were about to leave. And then the food! There was one pink salmon dish with olive oil that I can still taste! and a very generous serving of fresh cheesecake with blueberries. Every dish was mouthwatering and their service made it even better. All of their suites are equally breathtaking but the "Kalu" suite is the most spectacular one, and make sure to book this suite if you're looking for an experience like no other. Stone House has got concept of boutique hotels right. It's everything you can ask for and more. Total value for money. If you're a Kandyan and you think the surrounding might feel too familiar for a getaway, it's not, it's a whole another world. Stone House set the bar so high and now we've come to rate and judge every hotel we visit by its standards!
