Sunotel Junior

Top, super hotel for a trip in Barcelona. Very nice staff, good and clean rooms. Breakfast was very yummie 😋. 23 euro for the parking 👍. The swimming pool was on top with a nice vieuw 👌

Dear traveller never book a hotel in a hurry and we wish we had read the reviews from other guests as we would never have stayed in this hotel. Made the booking in a hurry through Booking.com and booked a Classic Double Room maximum occupancy 2 adults , 1 child (maximum 2 guests ), Breakfast ( included in rate ), so we seeing this booked this option for 6 nights at €958.08 and on the second morning at breakfast were informed that there was only one person booked for breakfast and when we spoke to the receptionist staff they said it was actually a room for one person with breakfast, but another person can stay but would have to pay for breakfast. This was not transparent in the booking and normally a Classic Double Room would be for two adults. We informed Booking.com and got no joy from them and the reception staff offered the second person a reduced rate breakfast at around € 12 a day and we informed the reception staff that the breakfast was not up to standard and we would be having our breakfast outside of the hotel for the rest of our stay. The Sunotel Junior is listed as a 3 Star but please see the photos of our bedroom and especially our Barcelona view from our Classic Double Room. Room 403 was a very run down bedroom, wall paper peeling off the walls, wood work tired and wore out. For nearly a thousand euro you would expect more and I've stayed in superior accommodation in many other countries. The bedroom was very small, the headboard on the bed was broken, the bathroom was mouldy and the room looked as if it was last decorated in the 1980's cleaners were lovely but impossible to make this bedroom look clean. Bookings should be transparent and clear and not deceptive, please see attached photos, thank you.
