Tan Villa 2

Upon check in we found out that they would keep our passports until we paid the bill. We presented our passports, the check in clerk put them on the desk then disappeared leaving everything available and accessible on the desk. No check in procedure was done. We found the clerk and agreed to pay then and there. No, they couldn’t accept a VISA card payment, so cash only. We paid but got no receipt. The room had a nice view but was close to reception so it was a bit noisy, whether it was staff or guests, who knows. There was no room cleaning until day 3 of our 4 day stay. On that day we got fresh towels and empty bins. I don’t think the room has ever really been cleaned! You could clearly feel the mattress springs on the bed. The shower was nice and hot- the biggest plus of the whole place- but the whole bathroom floor was awash. The location was good for the Interprovincial Bus Station, so it was good for Futa buses, but unless you have your own transport it’s a bit out of the way. No staff member spoke to us or greeted us or made eye contact with us during our stay and we’re not that scary! The whole place lacked any professionalism and a complete lack of staff training was obvious. Pretty poor effort for what could be quite a nice place.
