Had a fabulous time at this fantastic property! Everything was clean and neat and the staff looked after us very well! Great job by Rohan, Mohan and the fabulous chef who went over and above to accommodate our special requests. Lots of extra care and attention given to our kids as well. We look forward to coming here again!

Waves rolling up to your feet. Felt right at home, definitely coming back. Meals are to die for. Kudos to Rohan and Mohan for their hospitality. Waited on us so much that we felt very guilty, wonderful people.

My friends and I (6 in total) were scheduled to visit SL and we had a total of 8 nights’ accommodation booked with 3 Taru properties. We were scheduled to depart on April 21 when the terrorist bombings occurred and of course we cancelled the trip. All the hotels we had booked with were thoroughly professional and refunded 100% of our payments EXCEPT one. Taru villas refused to provide any cash and instead offered a “credit” for the amount to be applied against any future trips. After this appalling behaviour I will make sure that any further trips I may be involved in organising and am asked for advice on WILL NOT involves Taru Villas. Their internet policy says that cancellation 48 hour before arrival entitles one to a 50% refund. They don’t honour their own policies so caveat emptor with these crooks. It really is a shame since we have stayed at Lake Lodge a couple of times before and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay but never again.

We are currently staying this property and what a disappointment. Other than our rooms, nothing else seems to be prepped in this “luxury” villa. Pool was very dirty 🤢 and bathrooms only had hot water and the regular water line was not working. The place looks NOTHING as per images used to advertise the place. I have pictures of the dirty pool - so if the establishment denies so, I have proof. Tried calling the reservation number, they don’t pick up at all. It’s like they are ignoring it. I have stayed at Taru Villas Negombo and had a wonderful time. This is a big vast contrast. With a charge of Rs 100,000 per night, this is absolutely ridiculous. Really disappointed and a tarnish on their brand image. Will think twice before booking again.
