Last year I stayed at this hostel with my sister for over two and a half weeks and I have only the words of praises for the great staff members who were always around and super helpful, the hostel itself and balconies where we used to hang out. My sister says she never felt better and we both have fond memories of this place. The hygiene of the rooms and the rooms itself are so much nicer than the other ones you can get at for the similar price range in Thamel and hygiene is at adequate level. The owner is a nice person and the guys who hang out there and good people and we both cannot wait to come back to this hostel. We used to watch the football match with the guys and smoke some stuff together so from me and my sister this hostel deserves a 5 star! The guys were so nice and helpful. Thank you for this and I'm sure you guys remember the two of us! ;)

It's very best in Kathmandu to live and visit places in Kathmandu. The caretaker from this place are very awesome. The price is cheapest from any place you can find in Kathmandu. The place is very clean and comfortable dorms to live.

It is maintained by ganja smokers. Anyway, you will not find clean hostel in Nepal below NPR 500 per night. This one may look clean, but one thing is visibility, another - reality. Alright, read my review below and you'll have a better idea.. The staff are all smokers, and they allow smoking on balcones, so the stink reaches quite everywhere. There is no shoes-off culture. Everyone just walks in with shoes on, bringing inside all that filth and spit from outside. Now regarding their cleaning practices.. Mopping is done on most days. Daily some idiots here pass drops of urine on the floor of toilet. (Any low-culture persons are allowed to stay here by the way). The so-called cleaning lady uses SAME (!) brush to clean dirtiest part of toilet as well as it's floor. So the thin layer of fecal matter and urine is being distributed by her throughout whole toilet room. Alas, this is Nepal.. Also, anyone can come, lie on (seemingly) clean bed and pillow, talk to mobile phone for quite some time, and then just go.. The pillow cover and bedsheet still look clean: okey, they will be offered as "newly washed" to the next client. (Use flashlight to check "fresh" pillow for hair, you'll know for sure whether it is fresh indeed). Shower rooms: no any hooks to hang your towel and dress on; shower cabins' door locks are broken and no one cares to repair them even after my complaint. (Boys are extremely busy day by day: smoking, chitchatting, meeting friends/relatives, watching TV, playing cards etc.). Your personal sleeping area is separated from your neighbors, which is good feature of this place. The biggest problem here are clogged toilets. Once every two or three days all toilets get completely blocked, and you can't use them until someone finally clears their drains.. (Their drains are too narrow comparing to standard toilet pens). On some days, when everything is cleared and cleaned, I feel like giving them 4 stars.. But, alas, it never takes more than 2 days before everything rolls down and you see these clogged toilets filled with *** to the brim.

Dorm beds around 400-500 Rupees/ night as of Oct 2023. Airport shuttle service offered for 8USD, but it's cheaper to book through Pathao. They will try to sell you hiking/ tour packages which might sound like a good deal, but it's no better than contacting a guide yourself or going on your own, save yourself the cost of paying the middle-man fees. They just connect you with a licensed guide but they don't provide first aid kits, emergency personal locator beacons, etc. to the guides
