Service staff were sincere, friendly and helpful. Location was great - near the lake and many food places! However, there's much room for improvement to the room. Firstly, the toilet was dirty. The packaging of the disposable toothbrush had dark brown stains, and were not changed throughout the stay. The shower head didn't provide a steady stream of water and the floor gets flooded quickly during showering. Also, the curtains in the room do not completely block out light. It can get a little bright (due to the streetlamps) and you can hear the sounds of vehicles and people shouting at night. The safe in the room cannot be used.

We stayed here a month and the service was great. The location is awesome just a short walk from the lake and amazing food coffee and beer street. Not the fanciest place but it was very clean and well worth the $. They spoke pretty good English and eager to help however they could. We will stay here again when we come back to Hanoi! They are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Loved this hotel. The customer service is AMAZING. They go far and beyond... Marcus and Tu always where at the reception to help fast and effectively. The room was good very quiet and located in the heart of the Old Quarter... close to everything. The hotel is the same age as every other building around the Old Quarter but it had everything I needed. The laundry service is the best price I have found in the 4 hotels I have been so far in Vietnam. The price of the hotel is very good too. Strong WiFi and tv with some channels in English. If I come back to Hanoi again I will definitely stay in The Artisan Hotel ❤️

The location is really good but it is NOT worth 30 € per night. The hotel and the room smells really bad and the whole room was dirty with dirt, dust, hair everywhere ( in bed, on toilet seat, sink,…) Unfortunately we booked 3 nights… The guys from the reception are kind and friendly, but cannot help because the rooms are too bad. He offered another room but it was smelling very(!) moldy. So we stayed in the first room.

I had stayed at this hotel many times over the years and was a little worried that under new ownership it would not be as good , but , it was great . My room 201 had a balcony and even though the staff explained it would be a little noisy , I loved listening to life as I fell asleep . My bed was comfortable, I had a fridge , kettle , tea / coffee , a safe , hairdryer and a really good shower . Son and Thu are invaluable staff to this hotel . They are both friendly , helpful and would go out of their way to help customers . I highly recommend this hotel - it is value for money and that is where I will stay next visit
