DO NOT STAY HERE. Even if this was a cheap hotel I would still write a bad review, the fact that it is far from cheap for a night makes it a million times worse. We went with our 20 month old son. We were told that breakfast was at 7 and having been up since 5 we were there at 7 with a very hungry boy, only to be told that breakfast was not until 8! This was not the case as it should have been 7 however there was little we could do. We came back at 8 to be told that they were not ready and they should not be open yet for breakfast as they had a party there last night and they were not ready! We sat down with a screaming child because he was hungry and ate some manky looking grapes and attempted to have some toast, however the lady was incapable of bringing out any butter for some reason having asked her 4 times! We then waited half an hour for a disgusting cooked breakfast which quite frankly my son could have cooked better! On top of this the bath was dirty, they hadn’t provided a cot a requested and when they did bring it up to the room it was filthy and broken so he slept in the bed. The whole experience was awful and I am still waiting for the call back from the manager regarding my complaint which I don’t think is ever going to happen. Do not stay here you would be better of in a premiere inn. And the lobby are stinks of sewerage!

We stopped in London for 2 nights after flying from the US to India. My parents are from Wales so they drove down to meet us so I booked two rooms. To begin, we went down for breakfast at 7am as we were told it begun at that time. It took until 7:25am (they said they were running late) for the hot food to come out (which was a little frustrating as we needed to depart by 7:30pm). We were shocked to see the female worker place all the dried food such as muffins and bread out with her hands (no gloves or tongs). Not a good first impression. We then asked the front desk if they could assist with getting a taxi. After 8 minute of waiting for them to ATTEMPT to reach a taxi, we called an Uber. We had given the hotel our laundry and when it was delivered, my wife’s trousers were still wet!! She was hoping to wear them on our flight, not anymore. Upon returning to our room, the clean up wasn’t as expected, and our duvet was crumpled up on the floor shoved between the desk and the bed. I work on the road around 6 months of the year so I’m a frequent hotel resident and visit London around 4-6 times per year….so I kinda know my way around a hotel. I wasn’t impressed with this stay given the price although the rooms themselves were great.

Booked to come here for afternoon tea and we had the best time. The hotel is so grand and beautifully decorated. We used a virgin experience voucher 2 people for £50 I wasn't sure if this was worth it but it definitely was! You get so much food we had to take some home with us it was very good value. Delicious range of desserts and the scones were warmed up and so nice. The sandwiches were also lovely and a great range. Don't eat too much before you go! The service was brilliant too, they didn't rush us and we had a nice relaxed time and a break in between our scones and everything was explained to us nicely what it is. Thank you!

Went for afternoon tea Just terrible. Waiting for ten minutes before being seated and they only did that after they had seen and checked our voucher! Dining room was cold with no windows or atmosphere. Dirty cup snd saucer, dirty marks on table, crumbs all over the floor. No apology when asking for a change of cup and side plate When we sat down we were presented with a paper booklet menu and told what our voucher included and that there would be no more! Majority of the time there was no staff to be seen. Asked for water which never came. Food was fine but no better than that. Asked for a Diet Coke which was in a small wine glass, was charged over £5. Looked forward to this for almost a year but was by far the worst afternoon tea we have ever had. And certainly not 5*. Really disappointing.
