Visiting from America. I arrived in the evening and the staff helped me get into the room and adjust the air conditioning. The rooms are a good size, showers have nice warm water. Just outside the rooms is a nice balcony area overlooking the beautiful pond inside. The Villa is in a nice location allowing me to easily walk to everywhere in the Fort.

I enjoyed staying, including hosting a business lunch at Fort Oriental Villa The accommodation and surrounding areas are excellent. The welcome and warmness of staff were exemplorary. The food is first class, cooked in an open-plan kitchen across the courtyard. The building is a beautiful combination of a 'periodic open plan veranda' and modern practicalities within the rooms. There are both social and private balconies for each room. We walked around the area, which had excellent access to the seafront, court square and cricket ground all within a few mins walk. There are several well-known buildings such as Dutch Hospital bars, restaurants, and cafes within steps. We loved the Galle atmosphere, tea shops and excellent beaches /surf spots within a 10-15mins drive. I look forward to events and cricket; when we hope to return. Thanks to the team for welcoming us, and coping with our requests making it a pleasure.

We had an exceptional time there. Maybe because we were the only tourists but also because the place is really nice (it was designed by an architect, who was also very nice as we quickly exchanged by phone to set some payment issues). The staff was there also (maybe a bit too much - give us some space ;), they make delicious breakfast and also were extremly attentive to our needs
