A quiet and beautiful accommodation. We got best place and rates within our wishes and budget. Gives a feel of old colonial style. The are lovely people. The whole staff is extremely efficient and pleasant. It's fully equipped for a short stay. Wifi would be an issue though. Get your own eggs, bread, coffee tea, salt, sugar whatever you may need for more than two days and eating out all the time is just cumbersome. Although you can find bakeries, small marts, a reasonable shopping mall and restaurants. It's a safe are to go for morning walk. The city sleeps early so better stay in after 9pm.

This is our “home away from home” in Nairobi!! We are staying here for 4th or 5th time and it is greatest value for money, plus beautiful, homely. The staff is welcoming. The advantage is that you get an apartment for the price of a “room with breakfast” in the other hotels. So you have a big beg room , a living room with a kitchen, you can cook (eating out is so pricy in Nairobi!), invite guests for lunch or dinner, use the garden with the pool where there are also outdoor tables. We’ve been here for short term and for long term stays, for pleasure and for work… we shot a movie in Nairobi and with the crew we stayed at their more high end property called The Kings Post which is as great, plus coffee shop, fitness and a roof terrace for gatherings. Highly recommend these two properties instead of the regular hotels. They are made and maintained by Indian people so the architecture of the colonial India and some elements of the architecture of Zanzibar (especially The Kings Post). Go and see for yourself . We love it!💗

We stayed at Grand Gables for four nights. The facility is beautiful. It's a mix of British and tudor style structure. The apartments are spacious and the wooden work inside gives an antique luxury look. The location is great and the security is good too. Constant, Jhonson and Dorine were helpful and available during our stay. The wifi was a bit of an issue. It is properly equipped with warm water and they arranged a working hand shower for us as well. The kitchen is equipped with basic cooking utensils and dinnerware.
