The Harrison Chambers of Distinction

This is my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at. It's a really special place, and I was legitimately sad I had to leave. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and the design and decoration were exquisite. Every room is full of wonderful antiques that make you feel like you traveled back in time in a good way. The bed was cozy. Breakfast was delicious. All in all, it's a perfect stay. Look no further for a room in Belfast.

We stayed one night on New Year’s Eve for a wedding. We loved the concept of rooms themed around the stories of people connected to Belfast and ended up in the Sloane Suite, after Hans Sloane who invented the recipe for Cadbury’s chocolate. We were welcomed and escorted to our room by a staff member who was friendly and gave lots of good information, along with a “Compendium” of the hotel and local places of interest. He also helped by providing us power converter plugs which we had forgotten. The room was beautiful and immaculate. We booked the “Whiskey Lovers” package and arrived to a gift box with the 4 100ml cans of Two Stacks whiskey and special glasses. There was a card inviting us to the bar for an Irish coffee which unfortunately we didn’t have time to do. The highlight was definitely breakfast in the morning, served in the room on a picturesque tray. An order form was provided when we arrived and the food arrived on time and as ordered. The food was delicious, especially the pancakes. The only complaint was that the shower ran out of hot water in the morning. We ran a bath shortly before the shower but wouldn’t have expected the hot water to run out. We didn’t contact that hotel until after we had left because it happened shortly before checkout, but when we did the response was understanding and apologetic, stating that was not a normal occurrence and regret that we didn’t contact them at the time so that they could have resolved it. The hotel is also on a busy road with a busy bar (The Botanic Inn) a few doors down, so it was pretty noisy outside from midnight to 2am, especially since it was New Year’s Eve, but I imagine this is the case most Saturday nights. This was a wonderful treat for us, well worth it and we would absolutely recommend a stay here.
