The staff was great. So accommodating and friendly. The included breakfast became repetitive after day 2 but it was fine with many western options. Our room was spacious and nice but the AC was so loud! Sounded like an airplane engine. The bar was great! Many drinks were had at the pool. There were A LOT of old people. They’d defend and “save” chairs at 8 am and not return till after noon. It was annoying and obnoxious. The resort was close to restaurants and bars and really convenient.

On the first night we had an issue with the air conditioning not blowing out cold air. A quick walk to the reception and we were shortly given a new room. The air conditioning was perfect. On arrival, welcomed with a cold drink and refreshing hand towel. The room was spacious with plenty of storage and hanging space. Safe in the room and an umbrella to use on excursions. Four bottles of drinking water. Great touch! Breakfast was good and the chicken sausage was probably one of the better flavoured ones that I'd tasted in Thailand (pork sausage is rarely available) Great location on the beach, clean pool, well kept grounds. Across the road from the reception is an ATM if in need of cash. Lots of bars and restaurants within a very short walk. Made use of the laundry service, which seemed fairly priced.

We had the best time at The Hive. The staff were so accommodating from the moment we arrived - we arrived very early in the morning and they got our room ready straight away so that we could check in early at no extra cost. When we had an issue with a tour we booked (outside of the hotel) they contacted the tour guides for us. The breakfast buffet was amazing - always fully stocked with such a huge selection of continental breakfast foods. The bedroom was lovely and clean, they provided daily room service. The pool was great and the private beach area was perfect. We couldn’t recommend this hotel more, we will definitely be back!

The Hive we stay at one bedroom villa was a neat place to stay. Room was getting old but very spacious lots of cabinets if you unpack your suit cases for longer stay. Toilet and shower basin was separate and really roomy. Quiet, outside porch ,has light, fan, chairs and lounger. Infinity pool is great but has no natural shade. Its the only jellyfish netted area on the beach if u want to swim without concern in the sea. I would recommend this place to my family and friends if they want to stay in Lamai.

The Hive is perfectly located near most restaurants and bars in Lamai as well as being right on the beach. We stayed in a bungalow. It was nice and quiet not being attached to other rooms. Although getting a bit old, the bed and pillows were comfy. There are quite a few mosquitoes around the property and in the room. The pool area is very nice with plenty of loungers. The breakfast was basic but good, some items would run out by 830-9am.
