This is my 3rd time staying at Knickerbocker. The first time was amazing second time I couldn't sleep because of the noise coming from the elevator. When I checked in this time I informed I had a bad experience last time & asked the front desk staff can they give me a room not close to the elevator They said I had to pay an extra $30 for that so we agreed since she mentioned that room has a better view. Then we went to the coffee shop. The table was too sharp & I cut my finger & informed them about it. They asked do I needed medical attention I said I should be okay. Then We checked in & started changing since we had plans. All of a sudden room service came into the room with no permission. We were upset why didn't they knock before they came in? I was middle of changing. Again they just opened the door & came in to drop water bottles. So 2 times they came to the room without knocking. I had to talk to the MOD & she was super sweet. Said please contact the front desk they will change our room. As she told us I talked to the front desk. They gave us the corner room suite. Which was great. We started changing when since we were going to dinner. Again a guy from room service came into the room with no permission. Said he was there to clean the room. We asked to come back later since we were about to leave. His response was “I can't come back later I'm leaving”. So we left. That night the room wasn't cleaned. There were no towels. Our stay was from 23-26 Jan. This hotel was great before. Looks like the quality is not the same as it was. The restrooms were not cleaned well. Fingerprints everywhere & the shower had a lot of debris. The manager on duty on the 25th night shouldn't be a manager she doesn't know how to talk to a guest.

A great hotel In a great location . The rooms were large , updated , clean , modern. There aren’t many hotels that feel clean enough for me to take a bath , but this one was . Very comfortable , nice hotel . Our room was quiet because it looked onto other buildings off of the street. Rooftop bar very nice . They gave us a coupon for 2 cocktails , which was great. Nothing bad to say about this hotel at All, but one star off for price . It’s expensive , I know everything is , but that doesn’t mean I have to like it

This is a luxurious hotel, it allows me to be in my soft girl era, and I love it. The room was beautiful, the view of the city was nice, I just wish it was a better view of the street part but we were on the 15th floor so I see issue, but besides that the service was great, the breakfast was delicious and I would definitely come back. And it’s only 3 minutes from times square and all the food so the location is great.

The hotel takes the NYC experience seriously, both because of its central location and for being loyal to "the city that never sleeps" mantra. My room was next to the elevator. The elevator's beeping made it impossible to sleep all night. The staff was polite, quick and effective. No complaints to them, except for the minor fact that on check in they could have said the elevator only works after using the card. I wasted time like an idiot. Given the high cost, i would stay elsewhere.

The Knickerbocker was once one of NYC's finest hotels. The latest reincarnation of this legendary hotel has created a stunning modern decor and top notch facilities. The large, well appointed rooms are impeccably clean with great attention to detail. Food quality from culinary icon Charlie Palmer is outstanding and the restaurant beautiful. Incredible location. The view from the Saint Cloud Rooftop lounge truly unique! It is a must. Checking in and checking out as well as customer service are not on par with the rest of the hotel unfortunately.
