I had the pleasure of staying at The Mayson in Dublin for 5 nights in August 2023, and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly, highly competent, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My room was quiet and clean. The size of the room was good, with a comfy bed and a well-sized bathroom. A highlight of my stay was the rooftop bar, which doubles as the breakfast area. It offers a nice view over the harbour. The breakfasts themselves were excellent (see photos). The hotel's location is convenient, just 4 or 5 tram stops from the city center. The distance between tram stops is quite short, meaning you can actually walk to the center, if you want to. Buying a tram ticket is also very easy. The proximity to the city center allows you to enjoy the quiet of the harbour area, especially at night. Perfect combo. For gym enthusiasts like myself, the gym at The Mayson is amazing. It’s a full gym, not your typical small hotel gym. It's equipped with everything you need for any kind of workout. I think they offer courses and personal training as well. I also enjoyed the outdoor pool and the sauna very much. Although I never dined at the hotel's restaurant, I did visit the adjacent pub, which is accessible from inside the hotel. Unfortunately, it felt a bit soulless and not super welcoming to me (the pub, not the staff, the staff were nice), and all the tables were reserved on the night I went, which I found odd. But anyway, after one drink I left and I went downtown where you can find many, many excellent pubs. Despite this, my overall experience at The Mayson was great and it truly deserves a 5-star rating for its outstanding service and facilities. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Dublin, where I'll definitely be staying at The Mayson again. Thank you to all the staff for making my visit so enjoyable!

Gorgeous food, views and excellent service! We even got complimentary drinks as it was my partners birthday from the Mayson and Ryleigh's restaurant sent out a cute happy birthday ice cream plate with a candle (without requesting this). There was a small delay with our mains but the waitress on duty was so conscious of her guests that she, again, without us mentioning anything about the delay - sent out complimentary deserts, tea and coffee at the end of our meal! Excellent will most definitely return again!

Loved it here!! I booked it for one night for my boyfriends birthday! We didn't drive in if we did we would have paid for parking (just to keep that in mind). We had a warm welcome from a lovely lady I think her name was April (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name)!! When she said it was for my boyfriend birthday she gave us complementary drinks voucher which was such a lovely surprise!! All the staff were very nice and the bar is also lovely. Our room was small but I knew that and for one night it was fine! The room has everything you need and I thought it was lovely and a bit quirky!! Yes there isn't much storage so if you're staying longer that might be an issue but it was perfect for us! The location I already knew and you can walk but its easier to get a taxi and freenow taxi was easy to get to and from there! We were going out for dinner so didn't want to walk in heels! The breakfast was lovely with a really nice view of the docks! All the options looked delicious I went with poached eggs and my bf had the pancakes which were yummy!! There is what looks to be construction next door so I don't know what it would be like during the week but it was quiet over the weekend we stayed! Overall we would be back the staff made it welcoming and the bed was comfortable!!! And we liked the feel of the place!

Not really for me. Was staying for a few nights for work, which was booked for me. The staff, service, and location were all 5 star. The room was small and had no real storage for clothes. If I read up before I got there, I may have asked for an upgrade if to a suite room. If you had two people in the room, you need to climb over each other in the bed as one side of the bed is against the window. The breakfasts I had were all good with good produce, a large plate full. The only thing for me was that it was all plated from a menu, personally not a big breakfast eater, and like to just help myself. I did find the room more noisy than most places I stayed, and there were ear plugs in the room. Also, I found the corridors and room dark. The shower gets a 10/10, along with the housekeeping staff. It's a very clean and tidy hotel but just not really me.

Lovely hotel, as are the staff. Overall it's a great hotel. However, for somewhere that charges €196 a night a few things let it down: 1. Soundproof the rooms, I don't want to hear everything the guests next door are doing; or the noise from outside 2. I appreciate a "cosy room for 2", but I do not expect to have to clamber over the bed to get in on my side. 3. Make sure everything in the room works, and if it doesn't, tell the guest. Lovely place, but not for €196 a night
