Beautiful, fairytale-like resort. Nice swimming pool area and good food in the restaurant. Friendly staff. Cute cabins with a great outdoor shower, but it should be noted that some walls are only made of bamboo, which is how geckos and insects come in. But hey, it is what it is, we are in the jungle. The hotel is located in the middle of the island and the roads are really terrible, so be prepared. Thankfully Mesare has its own drivers service. However, only one of the cars we were in was appropriate for driving in Nusa Penida. The rest felt unstable.

Very kind and attentive service. In the jungle, you can sleep with lovely jungle sounds. It is located on a hill, approximately 600m above sea level. So air is very cool and nice, just a bit humidity. Since the location is high and in the midland, forget about walking, or even riding a scooter yourself, it's very dangerous. You have to use the taxi to go every where for about 250-300 single direction and it takes 30-40 mins. Still a lovely place to be.

Best of all time for sure. Secluded, Calm and Soothing. Breakfast is awesome, drinks are tasty, rooms are gorgeous. It’s completely heaven package. Gem for honeymooners, highly recommended.

We stayed at the resort for two nights and it’s very convenient to get to either the east or the west side attractions! Rooms is clean and comfortable, breakfast is included but I got lost for a while coz the resort is quite big. And I would like to give my sincere appreciation to Shery! She is amazing and super friendly, gave me recommendation for a little walk to see the nice view nearby the hotel. And treat me local food! Thank you so much that’s was amazing!! 🥰

We choose The Mesare because of its central location visiting Nusa Penida. We were not disappointed The resort has a kind of “jungle” experience. Quite with sounds of other habitants. Breakfast is good, dinner was something to look forward. We were never disappointed. The pasta, the hamburger and our favourite the Nasi Campur. The best during our 3 week trip Bali, Nusa. You do need bikes for travel and they can provide them at reasonable prices. Read about the high prices of cocktails. True but this is a general “Bali” issue.
