I just stayed at the place for almost a week and can highly recommend the accommodation as well as the owner. They went beyond to make my stay memorable. We went out for having breakfast at different places each day and they invited me for lunch and dinner (home cooked!) as well. Also Tri took care of everything I needed (pick up service, scooter and bike rental). I had a lovely time and one of my best homestays so far. Also the location is awesome, surrounded by farms and close to the beach and to the city. Thanks again and hopefully see you again :)

We were lucky and found The Moon River Homestay and Villa on Agoda for a great deal. Better than the deal is us scoring the best hosts who have treated us like family, often inviting us to lunch and dinner as well as the breakfast that’s included. We stayed for 5 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. It turns out this was the first Homestay in the Tra Que Village. Nguyet aka Moon is sweet, hospitable and was our primary point of contact throughout the entire stay. We communicated on WhatsApp and asked for recommendations and recipes. We even went to the market to shop for ingredients because I wanted to be educated on fair market prices as we plan to have an extended stay at an apartment in Da Nang where we’ll be cooking our own meals. Tri aka Tommy is hardworking, agile, went to university in Saigon for Hospitality Management, and an excellent chef. I cannot recommend this couple enough. They arranged for our bicycle rentals, which I recommend doing at sunrise and sunset throughout the rice fields with water buffaloes and unique birds. The Moon River Homestay and Villa was a welcome retreat away from the city, but close enough you can enjoy the conveniences. Breakfast is included! Tri and Nguyet also run a cooking school onsite as well as do private tours throughout Vietnam. They speak English well, so this could be your one stop shop for all your activities while you’re in Hoi An.

First of all, congratulations to this business for staying afloat for 2years during the various lockdowns we had in Vietnam. My friend and i booked rooms here while attending a weekend wedding nearby. The homestay owners were incredible. Inexpensive pickup at the airport in Danang. Great communication throughout the booking process and stay. The rooms are beautiful with a great view of the river. Breakfast was AMAZING (and included in the price) We were invited to lunch one day and that too was home cooked insanity! The owners also have a cooking school so you should probably enquire about that if you stay here. As usually advertised about Vietnam, but not necessarily always shown in practice, this place DOES make you feel like family. Honestly a superb deal for those low keying it in hoi an.

We had a nice and authentic stay with a lovely vietnamese couple. They made us feel very welcome like home and invited us to join them during a family dinner. The location is amazing, in the middle of the herbal village, the river nearby, water buffalo in the garden and a cute dog and a rooster as their pet. The room was big and modern with a nice and clean private bathroom. Private transfer to city center, Da Nang or even My Son can be organized to a reasonable price. We can recommend this homestay and the lovely hosts. Thanks a lot!
