Recently I stayed there for a night and it wasn’t a good experience as I expected. I chose this hotel by reading all those reviews however I didn't find it as explained, they literally used the bricks to elevate the bed frame in the room, shower water was so dirty i felt like that was a well water running without being filtered and restroom wasn’t clean enough. I had a plan to stay there for 3 nights or more unfortunately had to Left the hotel in a day and the sad part is they charged me for one and half day since I checked out at 2 pm instead of 12pm. So I recommend whoever have a plan to stay there better go check it out before making a booking so you can save your time and money.

This was the second time I stayed here and I have never been this satisfied with a hotel. The rooms were neat, the bathroom was clean, and the stay was really peaceful. I enjoy a good breakfast and the complimentary breakfast was so good, it made my day! Finally lets not forget the coffee, fresh and perfect. Highly recommended place no doubt!

We are a group of students that stayed at the museum for a month during a placement at the nearby hospital. It was conveniently located for our purposes and only about 7-10 minutes taxi drive to Thamel. That makes it about a 30-minute walk from Thamel which you can do on a good day. There was a lovely farmers market every Saturday morning, where you can meet loads of interesting people, tasted great food and some cute dogs too. Saturday morning are therefore very lively though the rest of the week is very calm and quiet in comparison. It's a small boutique hotel so don't expect western style, but the absolute best part of the stay was how helpful Imran and Chirring were. They were always available to help us whenever we ran into a problem; including helping us sort out sim cards, converting currency, taxis, ordering lunch every day and sorting out a food tour for us and much more. They also helped us arrange a whole weekend trip to Pokhara and got us cheaper rates than we would have been able to get ourselves. I will point out that like the rest of Nepal the tap water is not drinkable but 2 water bottles were provided every day which was very helpful. They also provided some fresh fruit in a basket refreshed every week. Breakfast at Everfresh had some lovely options (especially the porridge) and was nice enough to let us eat our lunch there as well. Our room was spacious and decorated with khukuri knives, an interesting touch and housekeeping came every day. You also get a discount at Le Sherpa for dinner. It has some good hot chocolate and westerns style food but was a little expensive and we preferred to eat at other places for dinner. There was an ATM on-site and that was very useful.

We decided to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Thamel, this lovely hotel is about 25 mins walking from there. Great rooms but what made our stay great was the manager who helped us a lot, a consumate professional. Each room was personalized and has different art pieces with a different theme. Also there is a nice restaurant next door and an awesome cafe. We are already planning our next night at The Museum!
