I always stay here whenever I visit my elderly relative. The rooms are beautiful, the food exceptional and the general feel of the place is warm and inviting with lovely locals in the bar (who even invited me to join them). The staff here are the kindest I have ever met. A special shout out to Heidi who took great care to make sure I was well looked after when she knew I’d had a tough day.

The Plume of Feathers exceeded any expectations we could have had. We stayed for one night dinner bed and breakfast. The Luxury room was amazing, clean, spacious and well equipped. If we could give a 11/10 then that would be more suitable. Just perfect!

Lovely place. We had a Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious, everything was tasty and cooked perfectly and I'm a fussy eater! The roast beef melted in the mouth and it was all at a reasonable price, especially for this quality. Also excellent service from friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

From the moment we walked in the door the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. As there were few guests on-site we were upgraded on arrival to a deluxe room. The staff couldn’t do more to make sure we were looked after and attended to- from the reception staff to the restaurant and front of house bar staff too. Sometimes a rarity these days to find such great staff as the face of your business. Clean accommodation and lovely food too. We just went for one night stay (2 of us) for dinner and bed and breakfast. We’ll be back!

An excellent Christmas lunch today for a party of 9. All three courses beautifully cooked in an imaginative style and none of that “weighed down” feeling afterwards that can result from a stodgy meal. Most helpful and attentive staff made for a very good start to Christmas. We were in a small room affording some quiet and privacy as we held a meeting there beforehand. I would highly recommend.
