We stayed a night at the campgrounds. Very nice view of the sea. Not too far from the seal colony. A convenient self contained camping spot close to Kaikoura at a low cost. Fresh water and rubbish area on site. No dump Station.

The Point is a fantastic location. It's a rural farm on the coastline with fantastic views of mountains and coastline. Peter is a wonderful host and the location also offers sheep shearing shows. Only 5mins to the seal colony, we were in a wonderful location. Recommend.

This was one of our highlights on our Australia then New Zealand trip. We had so many people ask how we ended up with our RV in a field with a million dollar view of the ocean. So close to everything you need to see in kaikoura. The parking place for RV is flat and you're surrounded by grazing sheep. The cows come down from a very steep hill behind you to say hello. Seeing them come down that hill was a thrill. To top it all off is a great sheep shearing demonstration filled with lots of facts and some great humor. We would definitely book this again.
