This is a great little 3star hotel and we will definitely stay here again. It isn’t perfect and is a bit worn in places (burnt out lightbulb in the toilet, crack in the sink, a few stains on the couch, some nighttime noise from the neighbouring restaurants). But if you are realistic about what your money will get you, it is a really good choice. The best part is the central courtyard area with the pool and garden. The pool is much bigger and the landscaping much more luxurious than other hotels in this price point. There are plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas for everyone. We swam and sat in the garden every day. Be sure to ask them to arrange for their TukTuk driver, Mr Li, to take you to the temples. He was lovely and spoke perfect English, so it was a pleasure to spend a few days with him.

5-Star Review for the following reasons: - Fantastically nice, friendly, helpful and polite staff. Every single one of them. They helped me locate and contact a tour company when they were a no-show, and made a few transport arrangements and a restaurant reservation for us. All because I had a hard time contacting people with my handphone. - Clean and spacious room. Do not expect hotel carpeting and layout etc and you will not be disappointed. The flooring is concrete, the shower is a stone-theme. The staff clean it very well every day. Floor always felt smooth and dust-free. - Breakfast in room. The hotel breakfast dishes are from the Jade Noodles restaurant next to it. All you need to do is inform the reception of your preferred dish one day beforehand, and specify the time you would like the breakfast delivered to your room. The staff will bring it and arrange it nicely at your preferred location. The balcony is the best place to have your breakfast if you are on the second level. Good view and the temperature is cool in the morning. The restaurant opens at 7am and the staff will need a longer time to prepare the Asian dishes. So if you do order dishes like Hainanese Chicken Rice (recommended!) or dumpling noodle soup, do expect to get it at about 7.15-7.25am even if you request for it to arrive at 7am. - The location is perfect. It is within walking distance to a lot of areas like the night market and pub street, and the higher-end restaurants like Miss Wong and Sokkhak River Restaurant. It has a mini mart and Devatara Spa just across the street, and Brother Bong for breakfast if you need healthier breakfasts like fruit or smoothie bowls, and healthy smoothies. Lao Noodles is also located nearby. Some areas that need improvement: - It’s nice that the staff clean the bottom of the pool, but the pool surface needs to be skimmed regularly as it did not look appealing for swimming. From the day we arrived we noticed floating bits in the water, and there seems to be a film of dirt(?). - It’s unfortunately located next to a Korean restaurant that has karaoke every night - the singing is loud and not great (I uploaded a video but the audio doesn’t seem to be working). It was at its worst on New Year’s Eve. I woke up at 2.30am and the people were still singing loudly. Other than those two things mentioned, it was a perfect stay.
