The place was easy to find as looking at reviews we knew it was down some stairs and not at street level - which is good for minimising traffic noise. Parking was easy and ample. Anil is very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Always happy to provide a welcomed recommendation, supply you with warm tea or give you your space. We also knew from reviews that you share the cottage with him and other guests but you have a private bed & ensuite. The bed was large, warm & comfortable, the shower has delightfully hot water, fast wifi and the room has ample power plugs. However there is a bit of mould on the walls & ceilings, and if you're a late riser you might want to bring an eye mask. The view isn't idyllic but it is authentic and has a wide view to see the landscape. The location is close to the Pedro Tea Plantation, eateries and the local supermarket. Finally, the breakfast is mammoth, ranged and homemade, customised to your desired time. As long as you know what type of accommodation you're booking, you'll have a guaranteed good time.

The place is clean and comfortable. But it's not surrounded by beautiful views. And the care taker will stay with you in the same house. So it's bit awkward and lack of privacy. I will not say this place is so good because there are more properties in Nuwara eliya offering a great stay in this price range.

The hotel was very difficult to find since you had to go down stairs and the owner was not there when we arrived. The hotel and room looked nice. However, the back wall was a bit mouldy.
