Whenever you're planning your vacation or looking for a fist class -hotel to celebrate your birthday, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Santiago Chile, is one of the best hotels ever in Latin America to visit. It's the King of excellency. Great staff and amazing customer service. Not only that, the foods are delicious and the rooms are drawn-dropping. It is true that what makes a hotel stay memorable is the staff and those at the Ritz Carlton are wonderful. A special thank you to Santiago Alfonzo and the lovely Josefina for their help with repairing a zipper at the last moment and so speedily. A lovely hotel.

Hotels like people reach an age and unfortunately this Ritz has become old and is probably a good Marriott trying to act as a Ritz. It’s functional ( things work ) but nothing blows you away. Most rooms have no views. Those on the backside look directly into peoples homes. The breakfast is sufficient but not the level of a ritz. The spa area looks old and weathered. The tap on the bathroom sinks is of small length, so you will hit your hand while trying to clean your hands. The shower heads had little pressure. And finally, there are no us styled adapters or usb ports in the rooms ( which probably tells you how old the hotel is). Given the tough times with the Chilean economy, totally understand the owners not upgrading this property. Finally, there are a lot of 5 reviews posted within a few hours. Probably a bot working somewhere.

Excellent service + clean, updated, spacious rooms = Great stay! I also saw on here a lot of guests complaining about the elevators... I head several other guests complain about the elevator while we were there as well. To say this kindly... there were a lot of older guests (60+) who were really struggling with sliding in their key card and pressing their floor button... but it was not hard. We did not have a single issue during our three day stay while we used the elevator all the time. To us, it seemed like a really silly reason to get frustrated and/or give a bad review. It's a great hotel with an excellent staff.
