The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The staff is amazing. They are attentive and provide excellent service. Unfortunately, I can only give the experience 1 star, which is generous, considering… My husband and I stayed three nights. The room was nice, not great. It was obvious that rooms next to ours were not occupied, yet they put us on the end in a less desirable room. (My husband is Lifetime Platinum Elite as a Marriott Rewards member and he was paying to stay, not using points.)The furniture on the patio was stained and disgusting. We would not have sat on it. Even the chairs in the “Tech Lounge” were stained. The part of the stay that is eliciting this review is the pool. The pool is beautiful and clearly designed with adults in mind. Yet, there were A LOT of children using the pool and NO ONE was watching them. In 3 days and hours and hours by the pool, we never saw a parent go up to their child who had been in the water for hours and ask them if they needed to go potty. There was even a naked 2 year old girl using the pool until it was brought to the mother’s attention that the child needed to wear a bathing suit. The mother put a bathing suit on the child, but just let her go in and out of the pool with her inflatable ring without any supervision. Do you think a naked two year old is going to tell her mother when she has to pee, or is she just going to pee in the pool? Kids as young as 5,6,7,8 were left to swim unattended. They were in the pool for hours. Not one parent ever asked a child if they had to use the restroom. Do you think they were peeing in the pool? One afternoon the pool had to be closed for two and a half hours because a little boy had “an accident” in the pool, so it had to be sanitized. It was extremely disappointing not to be able to use the pool. I’m not sure why anyone would take their children to The Ritz Carlton South Beach. It really is not a place for children. If you are looking for a hotel where you can enjoy the pool, I would not recommend The Ritz Carlton South Beach. The pool at that hotel is nothing but a pee pool.

I recently stayed here and by far my favorite part was the handcrafted waffles and egg dishes made daily by Ellis in the kitchen as you wait. Do yourself a favor....if you stay at the Ritz Carlton South Beach, have one of her waffles at least once. They are heaven and she is always smiling! Thank you Ellis! See you soon.

The hotel has very nice surroundings, getting parking was not a problem, talking about the rooms they are very beautiful and spacious, the customer service was also very good and everything was very clean. We are @truetanmiami, a spray tanning studio in coral gables. We visited a client who requested our spray tanning service and couldn't be happier with this hotel. Highly recommended.

The hotel and lobby is absolutely beautiful and the customer service is great as well came here with some friends for a night. The first issue we had though is when we contacted the hotel to ask for a room with a balcony they never informed us that it would be an upgrade charge they would always say the request is put in but it's not a guarantee which is fine, but upon arrival to the hotel we were informed it would an additional 200 dollars to upgrade. The reservation was made a month in advance and we called atleast two times to make sure the request was in and was never informed of this. Then we get a room with not the best view. The rooms are nice and spacious, the bathroom is a nice size as well. We did have an issue with the toilet it kept making an sounds like it was filling up with water and just never stopped, maintenance did come and they got it taken care of for the night but before checkout it started making the noise again. The valet guys were quick, efficient, and very nice. The hotel has a lot of great amenities overall it will nice staying here just those little issues we had.
