Had a great four night stay here. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient: an attractive, quiet street; a short walk to the Metro and to some restaurants; and also walkable to Georgetown. And while we didn't have our dogs with us, it was nice to see other dogs, as it is a very pet friendly hotel. A great value.

I am so glad we found The River Inn for our stay in Washington D.C.! Its location in Foggy Bottom is a very nice area and conveniently about a 5 minute walk from the Metro station. The staff was extremely welcoming and very polite. They happily took care of our needs and ensured we had a pleasant stay. Compared to other hotels in the area, you won’t find a better place to stay anywhere close to the affordability of The River Inn!

Very much enjoyed our stay. Location. Safe and easily walkable area of DC. Short walk to the Foggy Bottom Metro stop gives you access to the orange, blue and silver lines. Blue line takes you straight to Reagan International (DCA) so very easy access to the airport. Location is four-five Metro stops from pretty much anything you want to see in DC. Room. Room was spacious and clean. We had a full size refrigerator, a four burner GAS stove top, and a Breville counter top oven. We were able to cook all of our meals in the room. Bed was nice and comfortable. It is a remodeled older hotel so we had issues with the room being too warm because the entire building is either in heat mode or AC. However, the staff gave us the tips to turn everything off and open the windows. Yup - all of the windows could be opened. So that cooled the room nicely but naturally we heard city noise all night - not something we were used to coming from the mountains. Food. There are some food options around but you are more residential area than anything else. We loved being minutes away from Whole Foods. So we had access to quality food and the ability to cook our own meals. We recommend staying here and will select this location for all of our future visits.

“Cozy Comfort at The River Inn, DC” My stay at The River Inn in the charming neighborhood of Georgetown, Washington DC, was delightful. The hotel’s prime location allowed easy access to the city’s attractions. What truly stood out was the staff’s friendliness and their flexibility in providing a range of services, making my stay exceptionally comfortable. The rooms were notably spacious, offering a peaceful escape with all the modern conveniences. This hotel is a perfect choice for a serene and comfortable stay in Georgetown.

Spent a fall weekend in the District of Columbia at this charming hotel. We arrived well before check-in, and the front desk was very accommodating and I had our room ready for us. The room was in immaculate condition as well as the lobby. We were busy in the city and didn’t get to spend too much time in the hotel, but everything was top rate. The front desk staff as well. Checking in and checking us out. Highly recommended.
