We’ve stayed here a number of times but it seems as though maybe new management than the last time we stayed. Rooms are nice and specious, and if you choose a river side room it’s a wonderful view. Kinda surprised they no longer put bars of soap in the bathroom to wash your hands. The WiFi is not very good. I love the breakfast buffet, although they could keep some stuff a bit warmer. Close to water taxi

The Royal River Hotel is an older building but is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Our room was large and clean but lacked of lights (extra light or 2 in the room would be nice) and outlets. The view of the river made up for it. The breakfast buffet was adequate. Royal River restaurant in the hotel offers good food & friendly service with limited English spoken staff. We had crab fried rice, shrimp curry, fried fat noodles with squid, fried octopus, and purple yam in coconut for dessert. I was very impressed with the noodle and fried octopus dishes. Squid was tender, and the octopus was not overcooked. My companion thought the curry & rice were delicious also. The desert was tasty. Overall, the hotel restaurant is a very good place to take your family or your loved ones for dinner, good food but not breaking your bank account. Best of all, you will be dining next to the water. Price: Moderate

My overall experience in this hotel was amazing. I like their service and all staff was very friendly, but few of them only can speak English so a bit difficult to communicate with them. My room was large with a nice balcony view that I enjoyed alot. The breakfast buffet was also commendable with lots of varieties and the dining area staff was so professional and cooperative I really liked their service. Will definitely like to stay this hotel again whenever I visit bangkok again.

Room had hair everywhere upon our arrival. The lights and air conditioner are controlled by a device. Our was broken so we couldn't turn off the lights. Instead of replacing it, they told us to unscrew our light fixtures to turn the lights off. The location is ok. Not much in walking distance, but it's close enough to get a train or cab ride to anywhere. The buffet was ok.
