This is a gem of a hotel. The location cannot be beat, it is in the heart of 5th Ave making it easy to access restaurants, the beach, and tourist hot spots. If you are a beach lover I would recommend springing for the plus package which will give you access to Hilton all inclusive as well, for me I was fine without it. I found the spa and the masseuse Gabi to be amazing! The staff in general truly make you feel welcomed and provide excellent customer service. I'm taking a point away for a few negatives: 1. There can be a wait for food. I believe they are understaffed and people only have two hands. 2. The food is lackluster and again I don't blame the cooks I think the menu needs to be reworked to fit the ingredients readily available in the area. We are in Mexico we love Mexican culture and food. I would like to see this reflected more on the menu.

The hotel is perfectly located downtown, close to the beach and amazing restaurants and stores. The hotel is boutique so offers amazing service from all staff, all dining is a la carte and room service is included (no tacky buffets!). Everything feels clean and modern. The roof top pool is the perfect spot to spend a hot day and offers a bar which makes amazing cocktails and martinis. We stayed for a week over New Years and would definitely come back again.

The food is very good. The service is flawless. The hotel is very modern and beautiful. Very well located in Playa Del Carmen, near the beach and shopping spots. However, the hotel location is also a disadvantage. It is located near the party scene, so very loud outside until 3-4 AM. We hear it in the rooms. I have a deep sleep so it did not bother me that much. There were issues with the bathroom. The shower mainly has cold water, lukewarm at best. The sink was also problematic, it was clogged most of the time.

It has only been a couple of hours since I've checked in and the experience has already been terrible. They require you to wear these dumb wristbands at all times; you are even unable to take them off inside your rooms. As someone with very sensitive skin who gets rashes and irritation, that is a little more than "inconvenient". Me not being able to take these cheaply made wristbands means that I am in constant discomfort or pain the whole duration of my stay. I tried explaining this to the receptionist but they were absolutely unwavering. For an expensive, luxury resort, this is absolutely astonishing. Hotel management 101: ensure that the guests are comfortable.. This is easily one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I would give them 0 stars if I could....

My recent stay at the Yucatan Hilton Playa del Carmen left much to be desired, as the overall service and wait times fell far short of the expected standard for a hotel of this caliber. The disappointment began upon arrival, where the check-in process was marred by an unreasonably long wait, leaving guests, including myself, frustrated and fatigued after a journey to reach the destination. The service at the hotel's restaurants and amenities mirrored the lackluster check-in experience. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, leading to extended waiting times for even the most basic requests. Whether it was a simple room service order or a dinner reservation, guests were left waiting far longer than reasonable, resulting in an atmosphere of impatience and dissatisfaction. Security measures, ostensibly in place for the safety of guests, unfortunately contributed to the discomfort of the stay. While security is paramount, the execution at Yucatan Hilton Playa del Carmen left much to be desired. Overzealous security personnel made guests feel scrutinized and uneasy, detracting from the welcoming ambiance that should characterize a luxury hotel. I sincerely hope that this feedback prompts the management to reassess and improve their service standards. The Yucatan Hilton Playa del Carmen has the potential to be a top-tier destination, but immediate attention to service efficiency and security practices is imperative and would go a long way in restoring confidence in the hotel and ensuring that future guests enjoy the exceptional experience they rightfully expect from a Hilton property.
