The location to universal was great a very short drive and you’re there. The checkin was less than exciting. Upon booking this room I was excited for the theme of the hotel, the place is dark. Doesn’t look that dark in photos. Front desk seemed like he would rather be doing anything than check someone in. For the price point I would rather had driven slightly further for a brighter cleaner room. The room had a wonderful view of an ally with some clothes left behind and the room had a chemical smell that made me feel nauseous. The room didn’t feel clean at all. For 200 plus a night I won’t be back. Ever

Very large rooms however there were no chairs in the room. Had to sit on the bed. Refrigerator freezer was a solid block of ice...I think the dial to turn down the temp was embedded in the block of ice. My pizza was frozen in the morning. Very noisy next to the 101. Would not recommend.

Well as I sit here and read the reviews from months ago it is clear to me that they are just empty apologies and management and owners aren’t fixing any issues brought up. We were suppose to stay for three nights but decided to leave after night number two. The beds are awful and extremely uncomfortable. The rooms are half a** cleaned as we found left over tortillas on the floor. The amount of mold in the bathroom is sickening and doesn’t make you want to take a shower or even use bathroom. The outlet don’t work so had to charge our phones in the car. The front desk staff was very unhelpful and apparently gave our room to two other families because they came in our room randomly. I have never had this happen before ever! Will definitely look for a way better place to stay next trip to universal.

The room we stayed in was huge, but it wasnt clean and smelled of chemicals really bad. Floor was sticky to the barefoot and quite a few things were broken and didnt work in the room. You can hear EVERYTHING. From cars driving by to the neighbors talking in there room down the hall. Customer service from both gentleman we talked to is the only reason i gave 3 stars. The customer service was great.

My parents and I each booked rooms for a 3 night stay. Our room has several issues. The most obvious being that it was extremely humid. It was obviously the AC was not working properly. The whole room smelled heavily of mildew. The shower “inside” curtain looked like it had been cut on the bottom and did not keep water off of the floor and there were visible drip marks on the walls. Corners were grimy and there was a lot of rust. We asked to move to a new room after two nights when running the AC did not help the humidity and our 1 year old started showing signs of being around mold with a stuffed nose. They asked us to pack up which we did. No one assisted in moving our luggage and the Surly older man who unlocked the new room seemed really annoyed as he watched us lug everything across the hall. The transition was poorly handled at best. The new room was almost worse than the first. It seemed like it had been used as a storage room. The shower curtain was whole this time but was moldy. There was a lot of dust, and the drawers of the entertainment/counter/desk would not close. Our baby hit her head on it more than once and our older kids ran into it as well. Outside of all of this, we had issues getting new towels and linens as the front desk attendant seemed to be sleeping so heavily behind the counter that we couldn’t get his attention. The parking was weird. There are barely patched holes in walls and I doubt the rooms were cleaned much past doing the laundry. There is almost no natural light, and everything is simply dingy, small, and frankly gross. The price and the 4 star rating categorized by Priceline and the like is unearned. It is close to universal studios but that does not mean it is really walk-able. You will still likely need to drive and pay for parking. Do not stay here if you have any choice at all.
