We stayed here in the Thira villa in September. As other reviews state, our stay was nice and the apartment as expected. There are a few things you should be aware of, however. We were told maid service was between 10-11 and that we had to be out of the apartment for this time while it was cleaned. If we wanted to cancel we had to text the owner the night before - there was no sign to simply hang on the door each morning. This led to us going out one morning and coming back to find the cleaners still in our apartment, even though we returned well past 11am. Another morning we came back to find the room not made up at all, meaning we’d wasted most of our morning for nothing. Other minor niggles included TVs that didn’t work and a kettle that needed replacing. In all, our stay was not as nice as we’d hoped.

Timedrops are the best villas I have ever been to, they have the best customer care, they have a very good view of the town centre, the villas are so quiet and calm, the environment is exceptionally nice, the villas were structured in a way that would surprise any holiday maker, they are very close to the beach and accessible from the town centre, but most importantly, the kindness of the receptionist called Nicholas is beyond, Nicholas is so caring and gives customers time, he is very helpful and gives all the necessary information about Santorini as an island in general, he is very calm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Timedrops Villas to anybody, it is worth every penny.

Timedrops was a wonderful but mixed experience. The architecture and design of our villa was absolutely beautiful, with lots of privacy and a lovely, decent size pool. The location was great for us. The villa was situated in the most beautiful part of Emporeio. It felt like being in Oia without the overcrowded streets, packed with tourists. Nikos was very welcoming and left a very nice bottle of wine for us and gave us really good tips for food. Also a bottle of water as the tap water is not drinkable. However the villa is described as a 4-star hotel and that it is not. With no air conditioning, we really struggled being there during the hottest time of the year. There was a fan in the room that helped to cool down a bit but it was needed on all night and it was very noisy. In terms of coffee/ tea/water provisions what we had was very basic and not renewed daily. It would have been fine if the price we paid was for simple accommodation but at almost £200 per night decent access to tea and coffee and air con should be a given. Our towels were changed daily which isn’t necessary always but our beds once every three days which is not ideal when it is very hot outside. Some aspects of the villa felt luxurious and some very basic. To conclude we had a lovely time, the villa was beautiful but it was certainly not value-for-money with some of the basics missing.
