A serene hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were very helpful and gave great tips for where to eat and what to do. The hotel is located far enough from town to be quiet and close enough to be accessed by a cheap taxi or the free bikes they provide. The complimentary breakfast was lovely, and the pool was great. Very good value for money.

We stayed here as part of a tour package, and it wasn't bad but also not the best. The place itself is tidy and offers the basic amenities, and the staff spoke English well and were helpful. The food was not quite to our expectation - a bit too oily and boring, especially the lackluster breakfast. Perhaps this is true for all hotels in this area, there really isn't anything to do or explore nearby, and the trail leading to the main road was full of puddles and mud due to rainfall, making it a bit difficult when it's dark.

We had a really pleasant stay at the Trang An Retreat. Both my girlfriend and me were ill. The family looked out for us. They offered us tea and medication. Every day they asked how we were doing. Besides that: the retreat is situated at a great location from where you can bike and walk. Sam and his family run a tight operation. They gave a lot of information about the area. Due to being ill we had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the retreat for 4 days straight. The food was really good. Thank you Sam a d your family for the good care and the nice stay.

What an amazing place to stay! The location is peaceful and picturesque while being so close to all the local sights. The friendly and knowledgable staff can organise all local tours. If you’d rather look around independently, free bicycles are available or mopeds can be hired for a very low price. The food is fresh, good quality, large servings, well priced and delicious. My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here, thank you!

The property is beautiful. It is a collection of maybe 10 bungalows, a swimming pool, and a general eating area nestled between some mountains. The bungalows are clean and comfortable. The provided breakfast is simple but tasty (eggs however you'd like, pho, noodles, fruit). Swimming pool we did not have a chance to use but looked clean. The location is a short bike ride to the Trang An boats. The proprietor is a nice guy that can help you plan your day and the logistics involved. The property is in a quiet area away from hustle and bustle. There are restaurants within walking distance but the closest town (catered to westerners is Tam Coc which is 15 min / 50000d taxi ride).
