Travelodge by Wyndham Windsor

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ended up here last second when the friend I was visiting made it impossible for me to stay there. The listing showed the jacuzzi, the room I was in didn't have one, they switched me no problem. Like I said, the staff were amazing. They even went as far as to let me keep my luggage in a room being renovated so I didn't have to drag it all over Windsor for the 6 hours between checkout and my flight. Keep in mind, I'm not one to complain at the time. I know i should and I'm sure they would of rectified it immediately. They were super nice and helpful and i made sure to tip on my wzy out because of how kind they were about my situation. But, the rooms also shouldn't be in this state either. My problem is, it's kind of dirty. Well, kinda really dirty. A lot of cobwebs in corners, my bathroom had ants, as well as the shower was filthy and the toilet had pee stains all down the front of it. I was in the middle of a city I've never been to before and unexpectedly by myself, I could clean the bathroom, I planned on cleaning the jacuzzi thoroughly anyway. I had a blanket with me and used that but there were what looked like tiny blood spots, like think picking a scab, that didn't wash all the way out. The finishings were a little DIY and messy. There were also things like the bathroom ceiling having a big bubble by the fan, the jacuzzi and floor around it having burn marks, the vent was filthy, the mirrors around the jacuzzi were chipping. The worse though was the big thick toe nail cutting on the carpet. I wouldn't stay again, I was just desperate to find something ASAP and get out of my situation, and I needed it walking distance to the airport. Wonderful staff, need better reno workers. And a bit more attention to detail on the cleaning. A request in advance airport shuttle service would be nice as well, since the walk to the airport does not have a side walk and it would be less than a 5 minute drive.
