We enjoyed the quiet property with personal touches of excellent service. Away from the bustling city it brings a certain calmness to the trip. Right on the cusp of Kamala beach it promises amazing sunsets and great waves. The breakfast is made to order so you are getting a personalised meal to suit your taste. You can opt to sit right on the beach too so that’s a real nice touch. They offer a selection of non-dairy to gf options so food is not an issue. Great cocktails too! Also you can select professional in room massages to help you wind down from a long day out. Morning swims are amazing when it’s a salt water pool, one feature not mentioned in their brochure. Also a walk away from amazing restaurants and beach clubs, like Michelin accredited Jaras at the Intercontinental hotel right next door or Cafe Del Mar a stones throw away. Thank you to the all the staff for making ours a truly memorable stay, we will return.

The hardware is good. The room is big enough for two. 1. Hygiene. After the turndown service, we found our pajamas and personal towel on the floor. To our guess, after making the bed, they forgot put them back on the bed. Yes, the same floor we found a cockroach ran over greeting us after checking in. 2. Denial. Safety alert. We called to ask the front desk for the matter and then housekeepers said they have never seen our stuff before. They just came in to make the bed. We started to worry more if there were someone else got into the room while we were out for dinner and maybe tried to search for things making our stuff scattered over the floor like that but the hotel did not make any checking for us and just simply said maybe it was us who put our stuff on the floor by ourselves. It was only two of us in the room and we both double checked things before we went out. The hotel insisted that their maids don’t throw clients’ personal items on the floor just for their convenience to clean the room. 3. No action was initiated. The hotel especially the front desk lady manager(?) didn’t take our case seriously and just jumped to the checkout time. No apology or any action that made us feel that they really understand our fear and anger. 4. Cleanliness again. Second day, I woke up shower. While I was using hotel towel, there was a cockroach climbing out from towel that I was so shocked. Yesterday’s experience reminded me to record for evidence. I showed the video and pictures to the front desk about cockroach and they didn’t seem to care and made me feel I am a troublesome client. I was super angry. 5. All in all, we love the design and environment but I suffered the sick service. So, I will not choose Twin Palms group again because their attitude is bad, especially the front desk manager with short hair wearing glasses. Normally I only write positive reviews for hotel, but I need to let everyone who want choose this hotel to be more careful with their belongings because my scattered stuff is still a mystery. Nobody explains anything or takes any action so far. Not even an apology we wish to hear. And when we checked out they did not even say a word on purpose cuz we said goodbye to them for courtesy. Only hot wind blew back right to our face. No apology. No goodbye. What a cold hot summer we had from the stay. 😂☝️
