Authentic place. If you want privacy without TV and noise, this is definitely the place for you. Large bungalows with a mosquito net over the bed, a shower overlooking the ocean, and a secluded private garden will leave you with a lasting impression. The beach is rocky, there are steps to enter the water, but a little to the left there is a beautiful sandy beach. You can go snorkeling.

We’ve been on a diving and leisure holiday. The location, food and staff were amazing, as was the diving. I very much recommend going!

We didn't stay at the lodge (too expensive) but we asked the (Dutch) manager if it was possible to walk around the hotel grounds to search for wildlife. He agreed with that which was very kind of him. This is one of the few places in this part of Zanzibar where they didn't cut the forest. So the hotel grounds are a heaven for 2 species of primates and some other mammals. We had lunch at the lodge, which was very good at a reasonable price.

Pros: Awesome Atmosphere and Very Quite place to Chill. Food for the Connoisseur and Awesome sea views over the Ocean Cons: Although food was good it was not enough, we left not feeling as we had eaten enough almost every time. Asking for anything extra like a Slice of Bread seem to be problematic. Very Expensive for what you get. Wifi only available in the Dining area. Music were almost non existent so the atmosphere was very bleak.
