The moment I arrived at the reception area, I knew I made a bad decision. Firstly, entrance at the gate wasn't clear - left or right side? - confusing, and hard to open. The reception area itself was very dark and dingy. They held our ID card upon checking in - not good, in terms of privacy, and safety (especially personal data). Entering the room (2A), I couldn't help but felt a little spooked - the vibe/atmosphere just didn't feel right. There were many mosquitoes inside the room; lighting (both in the room, and overall) was poor. There was a hole behind the air-conditioning unit. Bed linen wasn't very clean. Some parts of the wall were dirty. I also realised that they use drywall, with very poor soundproofing. Some furnitures were chipped off. Bathroom was okay-ish. After 30 minutes (long story short), it became apparent that the AC wasn't working properly (it kept turning off every 15 minutes). So then I was offered another room on the 5th floor - which I accepted. Entering the room on the 5th floor (couldn't remember the room number, because I was so stressed) - it got worse. It felt even creepier than the previous room. The flooring was dark wooden pattern (which made the room very dark), and it made creaking sound as we walk. Bed linen wasn't clean, and there's even a shoe print on the bed. Again, drywall with minimum soundproofing. The room was facing the street, and there's a small window with no blind/curtain. The noise from the street and train passing by was blazing almost the whole night - which means that I almost didn't get any sleep whatsoever. Plus, we can hear noises from the room next door. The batteries for the TV and AC remotes died out, then I had to get back down and ask for help - they didn't have any spare batteries. To be fair - yes, the price was quite reasonable; and yes, the location was pretty good. I truly felt sorry for the staff - I couldn't imagine the amount of complaints they had to endure. So, I appreciate their hard work. This is mainly the management's fault - for not properly maintaining the property. If you are considering staying at this property - please, I highly suggest you find other options. That would be the first and last time I stay at this hospitality brand.
