The experience here is something one should re-think of having. It was quite old, smelly, there was a loud main road next to it. The walls are almost paper thin. While it did quiet down around midnight, the noises of other people activities were quite distracting and overwhelming. The cold winter air was coming from the "vintage" windows, making the room and floors stiff with cold, but the staff were kind enough to lend us a tiny, loud heater. Me and my good friend spend there about 6 days, and only once did the cleaning service come in and take care of the muddy, snow and salt stained floor of the tiny rooms corridor, and trash. There was also one change of towels. The bedding was clean and alright, but the laid out extra "blankets" were the same size and material as the hanged curtains in the room. Literally. The Wifi and TV were just fine, but the hot water was quite hot and, compared to how the same water in cold temperature flowed, it took quite the time to wash properly with that small pressure of the water. Luckily enough, the location grants few food and clothing shops nearby, delicious street food places to cheer oneself up with. All in all, it can be lived in for couple of days, but surely do not suggest for light sleepers, noise sensitive gals and pals and easily-triggered-by-living-space people.

This hotel has to be shut down for the health and safety reason. Never again, I'd stay there. Good-looking pictures, but the reality is a nightmare, and I wouldn't say that rooms are cheap. Never take your family there. Your health could be at risk.

Great accommodation in Riga! The place is about 15 min walk to the city center, but you can also take a tram which has a stop nearby. The room for the price was great, it has heating and the stuff was nice.

++ Great location ++ Good price + On-site employees were nice - Rooms and corridors look like they're barely hanging in there. It looked like my room's door handle would break off everytime I opened it. - Room wasn't too well cleaned when I arrived. Not all drawers had been cleaned, full of filth under the bed, no toiler paper in the bathroom -- No sound isolation. Everytime someone was walking in the corridor, i was giving it a 50% chance that person somehow warped through my room's door and was already here inside judging by the sound

Never ever!!!! One of the most disappointing experience I ever had in a hotel. After several rainy days on my trip through the Balticum I decided to use their laundry service to wash some clothes and a bag. They returned my stuff completely ruined. The brand new jeans was washed out, same the T-shirts and pullover & cardigan. My lovely totebag from Paris is completely damaged and washed out (see pictures below - the bag before and after). The hotel stuff handled the situation very unprofessional by telling me that they understand my complainings but at the end of the day it’s my own fault, because I should have tell them how to wash the stuff. So no compensation, nothing! I will never ever book this hotel. It’s not just the laundry service, the hotel in general is not worth the money (old, loud next to a big road, you can hear everything through the walls, smells bad, staff highly unprofessional).
