The hotel is really nice. The location is good with a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Unfortunately it takes about 30 minutes to walk from the hotel to downtown. The room is clean, not very big but it has all the essential. The bathroom is very clean but it should be renovated. Breakfast gas good in the stunning terrace of the hotel. It has a great selection of pastry, cakes, cold cuts and eggs. Parking is included.

Stayed in this lovely hotel during first week of September 2023. Nice and clean rooms, reception staff very helpful. Lot of choice in breakfast (included), easy parking, easy access to Florence which is just 1 hour drive.

The service was great and the location was greater since the bus stop was right at the door of the hotel. It was very easy to go to the old town either walking or taking the bus. The staff were great, especially Rosaria. She spent 45 minutes in the first day of our arrival to provide all information we needed as a new tourist in town. In addition, she suggested one of the most memorable private tours of Tuscany that we ever could imagine. She was one of the best hotel receptionists that I have ever seen.

The Hotel Garden Siena is, like many things in Europe, charming on the outside and in need of a full gut renovation on the inside (and also partially on the outside). This hotel is deep in Tuscany. For weddings happening in Siena (which, as far as I’m concerned, is the equivalent of Quechee, Vermont, or like Asheville, North Carolina), the Hotel Garden is one of the best accommodations — but that does not make it objectively good. Firstly, they do not have an iron in every room — why a hotel that essentially exists to accommodate the guests of rich people’s weddings does not have an iron (or better yet, a steamer!) per room is beyond me. Guests must call and request irons, and then maybe at some point one will be ready. Second, there are ants everywhere — in the bed, on the floor, by the food, in the halls, etc. They told me there is an unseasonable-weather-related issue but…to be honest, I don’t care. Third, the taxi situation in Siena is abysmal — one may wait up to 2 hours for a taxi from the trainer station when a walk could take 20 mins. The hotel can neither send you (order you) s taxi nor do they offer a shuttle. Very useless. Fourth, I found one outlet in my room — one! What am I supposed to do with ONE outlet — and it wasn’t even next to my bed!! And finally, after all this, the hotel is 30 minutes from the major wedding venues!! So if you miss your bus, you’re doomed, and the hotel won’t help you. That is my take on the Hotel Garden Siena. Thanks for reading.
