the hotel is great for people who want to explore the city and surroundings during the day. The large room was always clean, the bathroom as well. There is a hair dryer large towels. In addition, two small bottles of water were placed in the room every day. The staff was very courteous, even took the time to draw and explain all the sights and bus routes on the city map. Breakfast was only available in slim form. There were pastries and coffee. For a two star hotel, the overall impression is great.

Very central, close to a myriad of different shops and restaurants. 400m from the Airport shuttle bus. Everything a gentle stroll away. Recommend a green bike, bike tour to show you the sites at a fraction of a larger tour.

Hotel Violeta is a 5 minute walk from La Rambla and therefore conveniently located for central Barcelona. Our room was very clean and beautifully decorated. A complimentary breakfast is included as is a coffee machine in the room which is quite usual for Spain. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again

It’s cozy but needs some tlc. Bathroom and window shutters needs some refurb. Floors were dirty when we checked in and wasn’t cleaned during our stay. We been charged extra for the late check in and person wasn’t even there when we arrived. Had to wait for them to show up. Location is great. It’s few minutes away from the bus stop where airport transfer drops you off. It’s on a quiet street and has breakfast place just downstairs.

I stayed here on a recent five night visit to Barcelona. The hotel has a lot of pluses, particularly the location and the friendly desk staff. There were some big minuses for me. The biggest was my single room, which was right across the hall from the massive wooden door everyone uses to get in and out of the floor. The slamming, heavy door was incredibly loud and of course I could hear all of the conversations when people were coming and going. The room also had almost no natural light. The bathroom was good sized and clean on the plus side. Overall I regret getting a single room at this hotel Also, three of the four full mornings I was there (I left quite early the fifth day) the two cleaning staff folks were basically yelling to each other between rooms in having conversations. This started as early as 9:30am and seemed pretty inconsiderate given the diminutive size of the hotel. As I mentioned above, the desk staff was great so hopefully this can be remedied.
