Amazing hotel with beautiful grounds and friendly staff! The hot springs are incredible and the running trail around the location allows you to see many local plants and animals. This location is close to many activities and excursions such as zip lining, hanging bridges and the stunning Arenal volcano! We booked two tours through the hotel last minute, the sloth tour and the night walk. Both were incredible and we saw many sloths and tree frogs! The food at the hotel was delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our server Robert was so friendly and helpful. This was a gorgeous hotel and amazing experience for our honey moon. We highly recommend the volcano lodge!

Amazing place to stay!!! Their thermals waters are so good. It was my friends bday and they added balloons, wine and a card in our hotel room. We headed to the termal waters and there was a bar there! Everything was so cool, and at a walkable distance. The breakfast was huge and full, the fruit was fresh. The most amazing thing was how everyone was incredibly helpful, happy and nice. We felt super welcomed and enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you James for such a lovely check-in and Ronny for an amazing dinner.

This is our 2nd stay in this hotel and did not disappoint! The room, as some have already mentioned, is a bit dated and some upgrades could be made in the bathroom but overall, the room was comfortable and a nice oasis to return to after a day of excursions. We booked one with a thermal pool in the back yard which was so nice! The grounds are immaculate and lush - full of tropical flora and fauna like no other! The thermal pools and swim up bar are for sure one of the best features. The food is really good too - the breakfast buffet has plenty of options to get your day going and the dinner choices are excellent too! The staff was very accommodating and helpful and we especially felt at home from Robert and Juan at the restaurant. I’m sure we will be coming back and highly recommend staying here in La Fortuna!

All in all a great stay. The best part of the experience were the staff, the thermal baths and the beautiful grounds. The rooms are aged and just not appealing. Our room was awkward. Bed and pillows were not really comfy. The view of the room was nice and the almost all day accessibility to the baths was great. We tried the food at the restaurant the first night. That was a three out of 10 experience unfortunately. The staff was great but the food was not. Loved how the birds congregate near the breakfast area in the morning. The baths get 10 out of 10. So does the staff! Pura Vida!
