Really impressed with how the renovations at W Union Square have turned out. This hotel is shaping up to be a really great spot once it’s complete. I’ve stayed here countless times before on work trips as this location is central and the hotel is spacious. Every time in the past this hotel has been under construction, but this visit they opened up some of the new rooms and I got to stay in one for the first time. It was a fresh clean sight! Most of the amenities in the hotel are still under construction so there is limited stuff on site. The checkin is on floor 3 inside one of the old rooms and the lobby is closed. However the new rooms/levels are great. The hallways are brand new and modern. Every floor features a refill water fountain now which I love instead of water bottles. Inside, the rooms are spacious with modern touches like white marble tiles and black or gold accents. The old desk and tv stands have been ripped out and instead replaced with a nice couch nook which opens the room up greatly. The bathroom also comes with plenty of space to move around and upscale decor. Overall very excited to see this renovation completed. I will update my review once more of the hotel opens and I am able to stay again.

I stayed at the W Hotel Union Square and I was happy by the service and the staff. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation, but they did a great job of minimizing the inconvenience and noise. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. They greeted me with a smile every time. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was cozy. The bathroom was modern and well-equipped. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to many attractions, restaurants, and shops. It is also easy to access public transportation from the hotel. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and exploring the city. Some of the amenities and facilities were not available or fully functional. I understand that this is temporary and I look forward to seeing the final result when I visit again. Overall, I had a great experience at the W Hotel Union Square and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and convenient place to stay in New York City.

Excellent stay at a fantastic property, the rooms were clean and cozy and well maintained. The hotel is right in the heart of Times Square, it was perfect for sightseeing and taking in dinner and a show. I would definitely stay again. David at the concierge was always very helpful and made us feel welcomed each time we entered the lobby area. 5 stars, a great stay and visit to NYC

W New York - Union Square saved our vacations. We came to New York with an Airbnb reservation that ended up being a sham. When we were looking for a good place to stay, it was super easy to make the reservation and since we got here until now that we’re leaving service has been top notch: very friendly and efficient. The rooms are great. There’s construction going on, so don’t stay here if you mind a little noise during the week. It wasn’t a big deal for us and all of the other aspects were so great, that this was great value for our money.
