Nice big comfortable room with a super comfy bed, very friendly staff and a beautifully presented tasty full Irish breakfast the following morning and a handy location for getting into town too. Overall the West County is somewhere I've overlooked before but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes the decor in parts is a bit dated but actually this just adds to the nice feeling of Nostalgia. It's a very elusive quality for a hotel to be able to create a "home from home" experience and the West County has definitely achieved this. We'll be staying again 👍

Wonderful place, great location, easy access to the city and liffey valley on the 26 bus right outside the front door. Staff are super friendly and it's always the same faces to greet you, a sign of a good team with proper staff retention. Nice bar and restaurant to boot!

This is a nice hotel. Very local and quiet. Its a bit dated in ways but thats easy to look past. The bedrrom doors are very old style for example. Very nice rooms, very clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Decent food. Good Gunness. No reisdents bar. Plenty of parking, locked at night. Taxi to wherever prompt and reliable. I'd stay here again.
