White Sand Beach Resort

White Sand Beach Resort in Koh Chang, Thailand, offers a beautiful location that could be a tropical paradise, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues that need immediate attention. This was our second stay here. First time was eight years ago. Owners have changed in between which might explain why we are not as satisfied as the first time. The resort's setting is breathtaking, with a pristine beach. However, the positives end there. Our stay was plagued by various problems that significantly impacted our overall enjoyment. One of the issues was the porch connected to the restaurant, which had rusty nails protruding dangerously. Several guests, suffered injuries. This is an unacceptable oversight that requires urgent maintenance. The staff at White Sand Beach Resort seem to be undervalued and underpaid, evident in their subpar service. The underpaid staff extend to every corner of the resort, from the restaurant to the cleaning staff. It's disheartening to see hardworking individuals taking the blame for issues that are beyond their control. The breakfast experience was disappointing, with cold and unappetizing food. The lack of cleanliness in the bungalows further added to our dissatisfaction. It was evident that the sheets were not changed between guests, raising hygiene concerns and indicating a lack of attention to detail in housekeeping. A significant communication barrier was observed, especially with the manager and what appeared to be the owner's son at the reception. Their poor command of English made it difficult to address our concerns effectively, and their tendency to respond with a simple "yes" to most questions was frustrating. Despite these issues, it's important to acknowledge the efforts of the restaurant and cleaning staff who, despite being underpaid, worked diligently to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They were not the source of the problems but rather the victims of poor management. In conclusion, while the location of White Sand Beach Resort is undeniably stunning, the numerous issues we encountered overshadowed the beauty of the surroundings. Urgent improvements in safety, cleanliness, staff compensation, and management communication are imperative for this resort to live up to its potential.

I feel ripped off! Not like the pictures i saw on agoda at all!!! The whole place is in need of serious upgrades! Yes, it's a very nice location, so if that's enough for you to pay 2300 baht, go ahead! Beautiful beach and sunsets! The bungalows are in my experience in the 500 baht range... The breakfast could be ok if the warm food was warm... the taste was not great either, but it's hard to please everyone... Coffee... I can not drink instant coffee, but I thought they had real coffee in a big pot... it was instant coffee... We ordered dinner one time, same as we ordered a little bit south on the island to day where we paid 320 baht for two people. At the resort... 720. And it was not good at all... and we found broomstick strands in the food... If you want to drink in town and not drive, it will cost you between 500 and 1000 baht to go and return... if you get someone to drive down the steep entrance road... it takes about 10 minutes to get to the main street bars/restaurants. The price for a trip like that in chon buri is about 100 baht each way. And if you drive yourself, make sure your lights are on, day and night so people see you. Either going up or down... in nights, make sure you have enough light! There's no lights down the entrance road! I'm very happy I didn't come in the rainy season!!! The receptionist doesn't know what she's talking about, just answer to make you feel better... Housekeeping is not reliable... when you ask for it, they don't come. When you tell them you're going out, and they don't need to come, they come... Make sure your valuables are secure! And I suspect the staff is underpaid and overworked! We will come back to koh chang, but not this place!
