We were really disappointed with this hostel. It’s really not been designed very well with the customer in mind, clearly designed to squeeze as many customers in as possible so the rooms are tiny!! Barely any room for our bags which made getting ready a challenge. The shared bathrooms were supposed to be cleaned 4 times a day but we found they were barely being cleaned once. Bathrooms are split male and female but clearly a male had been in the female bathrooms and shaved as there was a huge clump of beard hair in the sink which was not cleared for a long time. Staff weren’t the most helpful on the desk. The only positives are that the location is good for visiting grand palace and the bed was very comfy.

So clean and the staff were so kind and friendly. Even after we checked out, we left our bag for half the day and when we returned they offered us fresh towels for a shower which was amazing! Pan is so lovely too. Thanks everyone at Yak we will definitely be back! ❤️❤️❤️

What's not to like? From the moment that I arrived, everyone was kind and helpful. Actually, that started even before my arrival as they responded to a special request of mine to stay on the 2nd floor. The staff members here are seriously the best; be it the day staff, the evening staff, management, or the housekeeper... they are all a pleasure to be around. Even though I'm a solo traveler, I feel very comfortable going down to the cafe area to do homework and chat. The drinks that they make are also really tasty (I highly recommend the Lychee Italian Soda... yum!) I feel like I've been spoiled by the staff here, too, as they always give me something tasty to try. As for the room: HEAVEN!!! I had what has to be the most comfortable bed in my past 3 months of traveling. I feel like I am on a cloud. The room size is small but not so small that I can't move around. My luggage rolls easily under the table against the wall. If you stay here long, housekeeping is done every 3 days, but if you need anything the staff is quick to help. If you are sensitive to sounds, I suggest bringing earplugs (depending on the location of your room) since there are food vendors next to the poshtel. I don't feel like it's a bother since I enjoy the sounds of Thailand. My room did not have its own bathroom, but there were 3 toilets and 2 shower stalls on my floor that were always clean (note: if you book a room anywhere and it says shared bathroom, expect just that. A shared bathroom). There isn't a laundry facility here for guests but there are several options within minutes. The proximity to various temples and tourist sites is great. Also, if you need something last minute or get sick, there is a 7-Eleven and a pharmacy within 5 minutes of here. I enjoyed my stay here so much that I ended up staying an extra 6 days instead of going to a hostel I had previously booked. For a person who likes privacy when it's time to sleep, this has been prime. I will recommend this place to anyone I know and will definitely return again. :)
