Youth guest house Unbearable! A shame!! The place is an abandoned house. Apart from that, it doesn't have any clear label to identify it. When we arrived at 10.45 am, there was nobody in the place. We had to phone four times and wait an hour outside. Then the surprise was that he owner appeared from the next door house. Inside, it was a "ghost house". It was totally dirty, there was no toilet paper neither soap...and just two towels for four people. It didn't have WIFI and it didn't have any heater even when the weather was too cold (February 2020). Nothing of what is published in the announcement is true...the views to the mountains...parking...etc. The worst of all was to come. Later that evening, the unpresentable owner told us we had to pay because he didn't have any registration of our payment. We explained him we had already paid by credit card and booked via Despegar. He said that it was impossible since he accepted only cash in hand (payment in the place). We had two kids...it was late and dark and didn't want to have troubles. So he asked for 40 Jordan Dinars, as we had a bill of 50, he promised he would come back with our change, but he never did it. A liar!! Please NEVER EVER RESERVE THIS NASTY PLACE!!

I think that if you are not able to guarantee the minimum standard in terms of hygiene and cleanliness you should not propose yourself as a hotelier REGARDLESS OF ANY PRICE OFFERED. Indecent bathroom, dirty and smelling of sewage, filthy floors not cleaned for days/weeks, on which smelly carpets were also laid. Instead of two singles, as booked, they gave us an apartment with a bathroom and two rooms, but without a door between the two rooms, with small windows without frames, without the possibility of being closed. The mattresses, sheets and pillowcases were so indecent that I had to cover them with a personal towel. We also draw a veil over breakfast which, although it was included according to the booking document, was never offered to us, telling us that it could not be provided at that price. On the wall of the room, a dilapidated electrical control unit, dangerous at the mercy of anyone. We are used to Spartan accommodation, but this is an insult to the dignity of the tourist. The mural on the facade of the building is cute.
