About Lakshadweep Airport

Agatti International Airport (IATA code: AGX) sits on the southern end of Agatti Island and is the only airport in Lakshadweep. It was developed some time during 1987-88 and was further expanded in 2006. It has a small-sized passenger terminal that can manage only around 50-passenger planes. However, the construction of its first sea bridge runway is under consideration and soon there may be bigger aircrafts operating out of this airport. The airport is operated by the Airports Authority of India. It only operates flights to and from Kochi, Kerala.
