About Porbandar Airport

Porbandar Airport (IATA: PBD, ICAO: VAPR) is a public transport airport with a 4500 ft long runway. The airport has six check-in counters and two conveyor belts in the arrival section, and can handle 100 arriving and departing passengers simultaneously. Apart from civilian operations, it also has a military presence in the form of the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard. A new terminal was opened at the airport in 2008.

Porbandar is an Indian district located in the state of Gujarat. It is situated in the western - Kathiawad part of Gujarat, on the coast of the Arabian Sea. As per Indian mythology, Sudama, a friend of Lord Krishna, was born in Porbandar. The city was once an active centre of maritime activities, as per the evidence suggesting the Harappan legacy.

Sri Hari Mandir

About Bellary

The name Bellari has been derived from the word Bellary which refers to Goddess Durga. The city lies in the state of Karnataka in southern India. It is located about 48 km southeast of the Tungabhadra reservoir.

Bellary Fort 

Bellary Fort is located on the Ballari Gudda or Fort Hill in Bellary, Karnataka. Hanumappa Nayaka built the fort during the reign of the Vijayanagara Empire. Later, Hyder Ali took possession of the fort. Ali got the fort renovated by a French engineer. After the construction was completed, it turned out that the fort had a strategic disadvantage against the neighbouring Kumbara Gudda. Legend has it that the engineer was hanged because of this reason.

Daroji Bear Sanctuary Ballari

This sloth bear sanctuary is close to Hampi's heritage site. It is spread over 12.7 square km and opens daily from 4 pm to 6 pm. Apart from sloth bears, other animals here include leopards, hyenas, jackals, wild boars, porcupines, pangolins, star tortoises, monitor lizards, and mongoose. The place also has 90 species of birds and 27 species of butterflies.

Also known as Kuntegadda Park or Golden Jubilee Park, it is a newly developed park in the heart of Bellary. It is well connected and lies close to the bus station. It is about a km away from the railway station. The park is located on the hill Kaate Gudda and has lush green meadows with various flora and fauna.
